I by nature like to dig. Looking up things, solving problems, helping people are just some of my interests. I live in Rockford and enjoy living here. In particular i'm a fan of the North end. It's and old term for the area just north of the downtown area. My dad owned a service station on Main & Auburn for many years. Greenwood Cemetary across the street is where a lot of movers and shakers of the city are entombed. The company I worked at for 20 yrs is located near there also. The Ingersoll Milling Machine Company.|
Let me know if anyone needs obits or what have you for Rockford history / people.

|Kati McSweeney||RE: Rockford Sproul|
I remember requesting changes to William Craig Sproul, his son Oliver, and to his second wife and widow Clara Louise (nee Helm) Sproul Heitz from Rockford if that's the same as "Rockford Sproul"-LOL!
Clara's brother, Dr. Harold McMurdo Helm, married my cousin Ethelyn G Bennett. So, I'm only related to him by marriage. I did research his family though to add him to my family tree. And rather than just to throw away all that research, I put in requests to adjust the appropriate memorial pages at Find A Grave.
Thank you for the transfer of my great-grandfather Oscar. I very much appreciate it.

|Betty Smith Romick Boustead||Abbie Matthews|
I have linked Abbie Matthews parents and entered the Obituary to her memorial page. Thank you for sending them to me.
|Alva Van Houten ||RE: Allings transfer|
I am sorry but I do not want to transfer Mr. & Mrs. Alling. They are in a group burials in the older part of Greenwood Cemetery that I am creating memorials for and when good weather comes back I will be out phoptographing their stones. If you want them after that I will transfer then.
Thanks for doing the links and letting me know.

Yes, there is a spouse plot. I made the link.

I did find the correct Anna but I have not found her date or place of death. The one you found that was committed did not have the same family connections and I found that the small article on Knut and Anna matched a family in Kenosha. I am still looking for those two things along with her grave site. She was in Kenosha during the 1910 census. Her youngest son was born in Fremont WI. in 1912. Knut was drafted in 1917-1918 in Kenosha. Though I'm not sure if he did go to war. But the boys may have stayed with Anna's family if she had already passed. Thank you so much for all your help. I see now even more that I need to put my family on here to help others. I have also been searching the one that was committed and buried to give her a better memorial than she got.

Yes I did get them. I am still looking for her actual death records but being at elgin I am having difficulty. I really appreciate your effort. I plan to make a memorial page for her even if I don't find her. This case is very difficult. I hate loose ends and I just cant give up on her. My Anna had three boys so if it is her then her husband was hiding her commitment from everyone. Wouldn't surprise me with the lack of information. Thank you Jenn

I have looked everywhere for one ancestor of mine for the last 6 months with no end.
I know her name was Anna Fredrica Sundquist nee Nordstom. She's my Great grandmother. She was born in Sweden aprox.1880. and I believe that she immigrated with her family in 1883.
She married Knut Walter Sundquist on May 16 1903. The record of the marriage states her last name was Woodstrom but it has to be a typo as every other record contains the name Nordstrom, including the immigration records. She had 3 sons. Sigurd, Clifford and Gordon. I have found nothing in the social security index on her death. She was never nationalized. That is not surprising as she was a housewife.
The story that I get from family is that she fell, or was pushed from a ladder in her home on Lincoln Ave. Rockford, Illinois. This would have had to happen sometime between Aug. 14 1912 and mid. 1918. It could have been as late as 1922 but that is doubtful as Knuts nephew came to live with him and his wife Clara in 1923. He is the source of the information we do have on her.
Another possibility is that she was put in one of the mental hospitals. Most likely Dunning. I come to this idea as I cannot find a marriage certificate for Knut and his 2nd wife Clara Rose Berendt. It wouldn't be possible for Knut to remarry without a divorce from Anna and there is no record of one.
I don't know if you could help me with this but by reading your bio I feel you may like to dig this one up. I am certain it will have an interesting ending. I hope to hear from you.
