|I've been involved in genealogy for many years.|
My husband and I have spent much of our lives the business of cemetery memorials which we always thought of as helping preserve family histories.
We hope we can help others find their ancestors and this seems a great place to start.
If we have entered a name and photo that is your family, please let me know if you wish to have a transfer of ownership per the transfer guidelines.
To have an obit added to a grave, please follow the guidelines listed in Frequently Asked Questions - I will NOT make changes to a listing based on reading an obituary. Also please do not include names of current survivors in the obituary.
Corrections, additions, transfers, etc. please use the edit tab. (all other corrections or additions will be ignored)

Thank you so much for the photos of Mariah McMains and Sarah Counts. They are sisters, part of the large William Goforth and Julia Ann Knapp Welch family. Sarah was my grandfather's favorite aunt, I think he would be happy to have at least a photo of her grave shared.

Could you post the photo you have for Charles H Bell's headstone to the new entry that I created for his wife, Minnie R Zappe Bell? Her number is 154679805, and Charles' is 36727970. Thanks!

I see that you have taken several pictures of my family. Mary Asche and children at Hollenberg and the Asch and Wolf families at Joy Creek. Are you related to these families? Thanks for all the help with this family. Marge

First thank you for all your hard work on these memorials. I believe that this gentleman is my 3rd great grand uncle. A man by the name of John Henry Sant is named as a son in the will of my 4th great grandfather, John Sand, who died around 1845 in Lee County, IA. By 1850, Henry's mother, Elizabeth, has apparently also died, because Henry Sand and his younger sister live with another of my 4th great grandfathers, John Holtkamp. In 1860, he is living with my 3rd great grandfather, who married his older sister, Mary Adelade Sand Holtkamp. He marries Mary Vorwaldt in 1868 in Lee County and lives in that area before moving to Nebraska some time between 1880 and 1900.
You mention on his memorial that there was a death certificate. Would you be willing to share that certificate or any additional information it might contain? I'm especially interested to see if it gives his parents' names. There is some question of whether or not he and his older sister (my ancestor) share the same mother, and I'm hoping to learn more.
PS--If this is the Henry Sand I believe it is (and evidence points to yes), his being named in his father's will on 8/19/1845 eliminates the 1846 birthdate as a possibility.
Thank you for any information you can share!

Hi. I received your notice and as you seem to be writing on behalf of TLC you can hopefully forward the information to her for me. She leaves no email and has disabled her message function so there is no way to contact her. I did find the duplicate per an email from her earlier this month. Her memorial has only basic info from the headstone, however, whereas mine has a number of links and full information from the family information. I wanted to ask her if she would be willing to delete her own memorial to avoid the excess work involved in transferring the information. If the numbers of memorials is important to her, I would be happy to transfer management to her. What is important to me is that the information is available and linked. If you would pass this on, I would appreciate it. Thank you.

Thank you so much for the picture of the marker-he was a distant cousin of mine.
