I don't think we had good archival information from the local newspapers. However, I serve on a local committee (Bring Our Boys Home) to research and archive information on area men and women who served in the Civil War. I will be attending a meeting tomorrow night and I'll see what I can find out about Sgt. Bandy. Was he a relative?

Hi You`r very welcome. Ralph
There was a woman of the same last name at Dayton. Don't remember the first name. Want that one too.

Will look into Jessie's story next time I go to the library and will let you know what I find.

Thanks for the obit for Sue Walden. That had more information than the one I found. Thanks!

Between John and Jay there is a marker for Mary Sue Walden born May 31, 1921, no death date. But she died and was interred in 1997, memorial #82990031. I just added her middle name Sue to the memorial, based on her tombstone. And I found an obit of sorts and added that also, not much info in it, though but she is referred to as Mrs. Sue Walden.

I transferred some memorials to you. Check the changes and see if I got it right. Please add links to other family members if you know any. Thank you!

I took some photos for you today! I was looking for more information on Vava Walden and found something about a bootlegging injunction(?), see page 8 of http://dailyiowan.lib.uiowa.edu/DI/1938/di1938-11-18.pdf Hmmm?
