|LSP||John & Betsy Moffett|
Hi Russell, Copy of my Dec 8 email to you, that I'm not sure if you received so here it is again:
Excited to receive your SAC about data on John Moffett's wife Betsy. Betsy may not be my Find A Grave site, as I don't see her. I have 14 John Moffetts but I do recognize both names. I think my kin is his 2nd wife. Would love to hear about the letters and data you have on them. Pls supply the Find A Grave # to speed locating him.
Are you interested in putting a copy of the letter on her site or transcribing it for the bio?
Thanks and again happy holidays & new year.

I was curious if you are related to Samuel Reed & Elizabeth Harris Reed who lived in Missouri? They both died in the 1860's and are buried at Harris cemetery in cooper Missouri. Samuel & Elizabeth had two children James Thomas Reed & Mildred Reed Mundell. I have been on ancestry.com for the past couple years and the Reed family has been before moving to Missouri has been a mystery. If you have any information on the Reeds - it would be greatly appreciated.

This is the Henderson family that is closely allied with the Boone/Bryan family, so it is easy & fun to read of their early settlement of central Missouri. The two families were allied by 1810 in Augusta county, VA.
The brother of John Steele Henderson (husband of Mary Snell) was James S. Henderson, husband of Emily Boone (daughter of Jesse Bryan Boone & Chloe VanBibber & so granddaughter of Daniel & Rebecca Boone. Many articles have been written about these families, and many show the Snell family factoring in by 1790 in Scott-Bourbon county, KY. I have 3 Snell lines.
Many articles can be found in the Missouri Telegraph, owned & published by my gg grandfather, John B. Williams from 1856-1882. There are also many published articles on line - one easy to access is "Geneology of Virginia Families, Tyler's Quarterly" (a long series you may have seen in libraries) p. 312. Another is the "Henderson Chronicles". I hope I don't sound preachy... I really enjoy the Henderson/Snell family.
Willis Snell was a veteran of the War of 1812, came to Callaway in 1823 & was sheriff in 1828.

Archibald "Archy" Reed is my 3x Great Grandfather on my paternal side. Do you know if his grave is unmarked in Union Cemetery?

Russell, regarding the middle initial for Mary "R" Ball. please check out the photo of the grave stone. Looks like a "R" to me, not an "E". Most likely stood for Reed.
|noseguard76||Old Reed Cemetery|
Russel, thanks for the corrections for the Old Reed Cemetery. Would you like to manage any of the graves? I'm descended from Thomas Ball, Mary Reed, and Maria Ball McDowell. Are you descended from John Reed and Lettice Wilcox? DAR/SAR are going to mark and rededicate their graves sometime soon.

Hi Russell, Just uploaded your photo for you. At present time, Thomas is UNMARKED at Fairmount, therefore, I have uploaded a landscape shot to give you a feel for where he is interned. I have added extra information "as captions" for your memorial page, which you can view when you click an image. It has been my pleasure. Sincerely, Fern
P.S. If you decide to place a marker, feel free to let me know, as I will be happy to re-shot for you at that time.
