 | Carl Maxel Kelly, I have ordered a replacement funeral home marker and will install it in the next week or so. I will replace the photo at that time. This cemetery is extremely well maintained and is in a beautiful setting. | | | Karen Sodders
 | Photo Request My husband and I walked the entire Pyrmont Cemetery this past weekend and could not find any marker(s) for Rena and Rosa Maxel; however, we did find the possible parents, William and Martha Maxel, along with a little monument with what appeared to be a baby seal on top of it with the names Cyrus Maxel (d. 11/10/1880) and Ida May Maxel (d. 8/3/1872) with two small pieces of stones on either side of the baby marker. There is a space/gap between the William and Martha Maxel marker and the marker with Cyrus and Ida May. Perhaps this space between the markers is where Rena and Rosa are buried but no marker was ever put in for them. Did not find any other Maxels in the rest of the cemetery.

 | RE: Craig Kelly, East Fork Cem is small and old. In fact the adjacent church, still active, is the oldest church in Indiana. Between myself and others the stones that are legible have been documented. It is quite an interesting place with lots of graves from the earliest settlers. It is close to a creek, Tanner's Creek, a tributary to the Ohio river just a few miles away.
There is a series of books (5 volumes) by a local historian named Milton A. Masing, titled "Dearborn County, Indiana, Cemetery Records". Although the one volume that covers East Fork Cem is sold out, you may be able to find some information about other Craigs buried nearby in other cemeteries - most of the cems are well kept up and Masing did not miss many graves in his research. I've found Masing information on the internet. Good luck and let me know if you find anything locally; perhaps I can check it out for you. | | | Dan Stropes
 | Craig Hello, you should have received 5 surname Craig memorial transfers from East Fork Cemetery. These photos were some of my earliest and were not of great quality - however perhaps you can follow up. Enjoy! Dan Stropes | | | Family Links

 | Daisy Maxel Foreman You are right they are buried in Arlington Cemetery. Parish Cemetery is directly across the street and people refer to that one as Arlington also.
