Bio and Links
Bio Photo My interests in genealogy lies with my family's roots in southern West Virginia. Walkers on my mothers side and Hatchers on my fathers side.
My cousin, Glennis Walker, wrote a 700+ page book of the Walker History going back to 1734. I took an interest of photographing headstones of ancestors in the cemeteries I was familiar with and then it spread out to larger ones in Beckley and now I am trying to find EVERY cemetery named in this book. I am compiling Find A Grave printouts and cross referencing them to the page they appear in the Walker History book.
I will never ask for a transfer of a memorial that I am not related to the person. I hope one of these days my grandson and future generations to come will appreciate our efforts.
Thanks to Find A Grave volunteer photogs I have received headstone pictures as far away as California and Oregon. Once, while visiting my in-laws in southern Texas, I went to Ft. Sam Houston and found the grave of my third cousin that was killed in WWII.
Other family names in my genealogy are Bailey, Mills, McComas, Lilly, Meadows, Wallace, Woods, Daniels, among others.

In June, 2016 I completed inputting Glennis Walker's "The History of The Walker Family 1734 - 1990 & Their Kindred" book on an online family tree along with all the stories he included in the book. If your family is in this book and you would like to view the tree, please email me and I will supply you with the link and password.

REGARDING EDITS:

Before you send an edit request for names, dates, or links, please provide proof backing up your information. I won't change or add any information on my memorials without official documentation, such as; marriage license, death or birth certificates or newspaper obituaries. Just because you say so, doesn't mean it is. I don't particularly trust census reports or information someone posted on ancestry sites to be adequate proof, so if you could, please provide official documents listed above. I'm into this for accurate information on my memorials, not for numbers where census reports are used to create memorials with problems, just to get a number on my profile. Also, if you don't accept messages on your message board or provide an email address in case I have questions, don't expect me to make any changes. Again, just because you say so, doesn't mean it is!

RE: Photo permission
I used the link and have been looking thru quickly and have info to me from John Walker & Nancy Mullins thru the Lilly -Ellison connection you list down to Ella Law & Charles Everett Ellison (my grandparents). I am Vernon Lee Ellison by birth. My sisters and I have been working on the LAW Cemetery behind cabin 5 in Pipestem state Park for the last four years. Are you a Hatcher still in Summers co?

RE: Photo permission
please do send the link for the Walker book. I purchased "History of Walker Family, 1775-1916 by Minerva A Carr Muir some time ago but found no connection to my John Walker, Nancy Mullins West Va Walkers. Thank you, Vernon

RE: Photo permission
yes if you mean pictures I have placed on findagrave or on line, I am willing to share any of them. For me Walker ties into Lilly to ELLISON. Vernon

Sonya Faye Hernandez
Hello Again
This is Sonya Faye Hernandez's daughter, Samantha. She has been very busy lately but wanted me to let you know shes thankful for your quick reply and that if you'd like, we could send you photos of her mother, Rebecca's grave. Its located here in Texas, where she lived and passed away. And we are not familiar with the Walker family history book, is there a way we could find and look at it?
