Bio and Links
Bio Photo My interests in genealogy lies with my family's roots in southern West Virginia. Walkers on my mothers side and Hatchers on my fathers side. My cousin wrote a 700 plus page book of the Walker History going back to 1734. I took an interest of photographing headstones of ancestors in the cemeteries I was familiar with and then it spread out to larger ones in Beckley and now I am trying to find EVERY cemetery named in this book. I am compiling a photo album of headstone pictures and Find A Grave printouts and cross referencing them to the page they appear on in the Walker History book. I will never ask for a transfer of a memorial that I am not related to the person. I hope one of these days my grandson and future generations to come will appreciate our efforts.
Thanks to Find A Grave volunteer photogs I have received headstone pictures as far away as California and Oregon. Once, while visiting my in-laws in southern Texas, I went to Ft. Sam Houston and found the grave of my third cousin that was killed in WWII. I have a cousin, Sheila Lewis Underwood, that has created our family tree on Tribal Pages using this same Walker history book and in collaberation with her our childrens' childrens' children can look back on our history in awe.
Other family names in my genealogy are Lilly, Meadows, Wallace, Woods, Daniels, among others.

Before you send an edit request for names, dates, or links, please provide proof backing up your information. I won't change or add any information on my memorials without official documentation, such as; marriage license, death certificates or newspaper obituaries. Just because you say so, doesn't mean it is. Please provide documentation to prove your edit requests. I don't particularly trust census reports to be adequate proof, so if you could, please provide documents listed above. I'm into this for accurate proof on my memorials, not for numbers where census reports are used to create memorials with problems, just to get a number on my profile.

RE: Samantah Catherine Reed (Church)
Hi Bev,
Sorry it's taken so long to reply. I sometimes don't work on my ancestry for months, then pick it up again. My mom, 94 years old, Samantha is her dad's mother. She just mentioned today that she would give anything to find out what happened to her and where she is buried. I do not know Eric Plumley, nor have I seen his story about Samantha. I would like to see that. How do I find it? Thanks for your help!

Have you seen the write up about Samantha on by Eric Plumley?
I asked my relatives in Egeria if they knew of any other cemeteries there other than the ones we visit. No one knew of any, but this article on Ancestry was posted on Facebook for me to see.
Thought I'd let you know. Do you know Eric?

If you will look at the obit for Eleanor Noveske Davis in the 2/13/15 Charleston Gazette, you will see all the info you need for confirmation.

re Georgia Taylor
HI .. I don't have a copy of the death certificate for her. Just the info that was from Illinois Death Index , that I sent you.

I find often dates on them and/or death certificate are someone different. I usually post the info or DC and add a note in the bio mentioning the date differences but leave what is on the stone .
I will try to locate an obit that might shed some light.

RE: Gales Creek Cemetery
Good Morning

I went to the cemetery on a sunny day and just walked and took pictures to post on find a grave more to get out of the house. I could have missed a grave, there sure was a lot of empty places in the cemetery that I remembered. Wished I lived closer to the cemetery I could go back out and look again now I'm about 1-1/2 away. I just did a Google search try this number (503) 357-7264.

Good Luck on your research.

Minervia Mills parents

I've been working on John Ballard Mills and Minervia Foley Mills again. She had 14 kids with him and I have names for 13 of them and am working on tying them together. I sent a link through for you for her parents listed as R.B. and P Foley on their marriage registry.

When I find John's, I'll send you another message - I don't think his will be as easy....

Best regards,
Keith Meadows

RE: Mildred Novotny
Your are welcome. Thanks for adding Mildred. I went to high school with her daughter Janet, who was killed in an accident at age 24. So sad.
