I am helping my mother with her genealogy research by locating our ancestors' graves. Then, I got involved with several friends, helping them create their trees and memorials. You can see the names we are following in my virtual cemeteries.

Along the way, I have found others' ancestors and created their pages. Now I am hot on the trail to document our ancestry to Col. Daniel Boone. And, to find the "Women of the American Revolution." If I have entered any information that is incorrect, please contact me for a correction. I want to keep the information as accurate as possible.

I'm happy to transfer management to family members, just ask! Please use the "Edit" tab and "Suggest a Correction" when doing so and remember to give your member# along with your relationship or reason for the transfer.

I believe that memorials should belong to family members whenever possible, as family have a personal interest in honoring their relatives and are better able to complete, maintain and improve memorials with additional details and research. I am more than willing to have family members "adopt" them.

Please feel free to use any photos I have posted in your research work. Photo courtesy of Find-a-grave member #47361005

William Aaron Sharp S"Bill"
There is no headstone for Bill, so I posted a pic of where the grave is located at Lakeside Cemetery. A very small cemetery in the middle of farm land, it has been cleaned up since I last was there. There were many broken headstones at that time so perhaps his was among those destroyed by vandals. At the present time it is much nicer with green grass and trees. Sorry I couldn't get the headstone. It is located in Row 8, Grave 1. Facing South, row 1 is to the east and row 13 (the last row) is to the west.

Joseph Armstrong-Sunset Hill
There is a Joseph Allen Armstrong listed; but his dates are: 1862-1927. along with his wife, Harriett R, 1866-1953. Only other possible Armstrong is listed as:
J.D.Armstrong. No dates given. Does say" Sgt, Company "H", 42nd Indiana Infantry GAR (Grand Army of the Republic, ie Union forces)

Is the one you're after the 2nd one?

If so, let me know and I'll get the photo.

RE: Re: Claribel Frady memorial #54499766
I'll check the church records and see if there is any information. The cemetery records from that time period are not available.

RE: re: Elizabeth Claywell #117955101
I think that Elizabeth Jane Evan's first husband, Alexander Howard, as well as her daughter Anne might be buried in the Frame Cemetery in Winchester.

Here is Alexander's FindaGrave number: Find A Grave Memorial# 117955171

Here is Annie Howard's FindaGrave Number: Find A Grave Memorial# 117955187

Thank you for all that you contribute to FindaGrave!

RE: Thanks for the Mary Elizabeth Mingle photo
Ran across an Edgar/Nellie Tomer today at Easton Cemetery, so did memorials for them. If they are part of your family, I'll be happy to transfer. Also got photos of Forrest and Estella. Sent an edit request to the owner of Forrest's memorial to correct spelling (reads Forest now).

RE: Memorial# 81644401
Hi Janice,

You mention family records show Daniel Murphree is buried in Shiloh. I'm wondering are there any specific "family" records anyone can point to that gives credence to the idea Daniel Murphree and family are buried in the Shiloh Cemetery? I can't find anything outside of members of Find A Grave and Ancestry saying so which is shaky ground to stand on. I'm hoping somebody has something more tangible than hearsay. I'll be traveling up there next month to research him and Harper Clowdus to see if I can find burial records in the county courthouse. Anything you have in that regards would be greatly appreciated and could help steer me in the right direction. Thanks for any help you can give.

Memorial# 81644401
Hi Janice,

I'm a 5th great grandson of Daniel Murphree and on his page you indicate he's buried at Shiloh Cemetary per family records. Can you share any information on that and on his daughter and son in law Harper Clowdus that might also be buried at this cemetery?

Susannah Darr Verble
The cemetery listed on her page is the wrong Verble Cemetery. She is buried in an overgrown cemetery, also named Verble, that is between Monterey and Livingston. All of the photos and names are available on the Overton County genweb page. The person who took the photos is also credited there.
This cemetery took years to find, please correct your info by creating a new cemetery page.
Thank you,
