Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi,
I was born in Grapeland, Houston County, Texas, parents, Walter Mayo Yates & Ora D. Clark Yates. I'm married, we have five grown children. I guess you would say I am the family genealogist for our family since 2004. Find A grave is a wonderful website. Family history is very important to me.
I hope I add something that will be of interest to others. Our family names include:Yates/Owens/
Denson/Clark/Parker/Chaffin/Williams/Steadman/Overstreet and many more.

For "PHOTOS" that I have added to my memorials, if you copy them, I would like to receive the CREDIT for them - Thanks, Martha Yates Vandver

She was my first cousin. Our father's were brothers. Are you related to her? I last saw her in 1985 when I visited my daughter in Fort Worth. Can you put me in touch with any of her family? I requested she be linked to her parents. Thank you for maintaining this memorial

Lafferty Cemetery Grateful
I live in the far northwest corner of the US near Canadian border and was distressed that I could not find a record of my great grandparents graves in the 1976 enumeration of Lafferty Cemetery. I had visited the graves once and been very moved by the experience. to have them not listed in the official cemetery book for Decatur County was troubling. Due to your efforts and other findagrave folks, I now can see long distance those treasured standing tombstones. Thank you so much. ggrandaughter of William Riley Brashear and Sarah Elizabeth Brashear (Brasher).

Eli Kennerly (Ken) Lively

Are you related to the Lively family? I am trying to find a family member who might know if this Mr. Lively ever did any oil paintings. I found a small landscape oil in a local antique store and it is signed by a Ken Lively. Just wondered if it might be the same person.

Thanks for any information you might have.

My great great aunt Nellie J. (Parker) Knight memorial 23389434.

I'm calling my mom to see if they knew she was a Parker.I know they thought alot of her and she helped Uncle Dol raise his children.

I might be kinfolks to her in more ways than one.

Jarrell/Smith Family
Hello just wondering if we might possibly be distant cousins? My GGGG-Grandparents were David and Mahaley A. (Abney) Jarrell. I see you are caretaker of descendants of theirs and closer descendants of Freeman Rush and Eleanor B (Jarrell) Smith. Eleanor was the older sister to my GGG-Grandmother Mary Agnes (Jarrell) Moore. Would love to hear from you! Thanks, Brenda
