Bio Photo IMPORTANT UPDATE - DUE TO TIME CONSTRAINTS,
I WILL NO LONGER DO GENEALOGY RESEARCH.
(FOR FAMILIES NOT NAMED IN MY FAMILY RESEARCH LIST {BELOW})

Greetings!
As a descendant of many of the memorials I have placed on Findagrave (FAGrv), I wish to foremost, honor their lives & memories by adding as much as I can to their pages.
As a dilettante genealogist I love to delve into family history.
My circle of family names include.
Hawkins
(All families living in New England
or with Northern US roots).
Parkinson, Allen, Batchelder, Bartlett
& Leroy (NY & New England)
Babcock, Clark, Tyrer, Knight,
Wilbur & Irish families (ditto)
Earl family of Western NY,PA & NJ
Waite & Buchanan
(Related to the Earl family)
Ahles, Warner & Reuter
(German immigrants to Western NY)

If you wish to add information or wish to have memorials transfered please use the
SUGGESTION LINK (SAC Suggest A Correction)

Findagrave has guidelines for transfers
(4 generations I think). I will gladly extend beyond the 4 Gen's if you are a serious researcher. Also I believe, that if you wish to honor a deceased distant relation (or a friend) than I will not stand in the way of your efforts.
Some people believe transfer requests should not be made for memorials of friends or for family surnames strictly for genealogical purposes. I don't buy this notion! I believe that genealogists help us as a connection between the living & the dead, distinguishing who we are & whence we came. So, if you are researching a family name & see that I have entered numerous surnames of interest, I would be happy to transfer the whole lot to you
(unless of course I am also researching the same name).
I would be be most grateful if other people would allow me the same courtesy. :^)

Links of Interest:

Please visit Don Gentner's compilation of German immigrants to Western New York from Baden Germany.
The Wiesental~Springville connection

Unfortunately, due to time constraints, I am no longer able to do lookups & genealogical searches for other families research.
This also includes going to Libraries, Courthouses, & Cemeteries to search for records & tombstone information.

I will still make additions & corrections to FAGrv [only using the SAC's (Suggest A Correction) edit link]. When you SAC it is important to be signed on to Findagrave & if you are suggesting family links, please give the name of the person to be linked, their relationship & their memorial number (this makes the process so much easier :^). PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL ME DIRECTLY ASKING FOR FAGrv CORRECTIONS. Due to the large number of SAC's requests that I receive daily, It may take up to 30 days for memorials to be updated.
AGAIN, USE THE MEMORIAL EDIT/SUGGESTION OPTION for both updates requests and transfer requests. This provides me with both the memorial link and the link to your member number, and then I do not have to search for either item.
Requests left on my "leave a message" page will be at the bottom of my priority list. I am sorry for this inconvenience.

I will try to leave a message on the requesters FAGrv homepage when I have completed the task & I will also try to add data from SAC's to
Werelate.org.

I do have quite a collection of cemetery records & photos of burials in Concord, Collins & parts of Sardinia/ Boston/ Colden (Erie Co., NY) cemeteries.
I'm slowly adding these records to FAGrv & WeRelate.org again as time permits.
My wife & I have submitted many of these records to the Town of Concord Genealogy Library aka

"The Lucy Bensley Genealogy Center"

RE: Hawkins
Your welcome. I am still posting burial cards. I have been doing them alphabetically so I don't miss anyone. I go the extra mile and post info from the census. I also post the flowers or little flags if they were born elsewhere. This takes away from visiting other cemeteries but I am trying to account for all burials in this cemetery. Glad you appreciate my efforts. Your new friend in R.I.

William H Hawkins
Thomas,

This William H Hawkins buried in Burr Oak, Michigan I presume is from your branch of the family. If so, hello there cousin from the other branch. Your branch goes back to N.Y., whereas mine goes back to CT and that is where our branches intersect. I presume this William H Hawkins' father was David Howard Hawkins also buried in the same cemetery. In years past where I live I noticed other Hawkins in the area but could not make the connection to me until now. I had a feeling they were somehow related to me but could not for the life of me figure out how. I am only about 20 minutes away from where David and William is buried and only about 10 minutes from where David's Aunt and Uncle are buried, William and Amanda. Is this your family line?

Hi Thomas, Thanks for transferring some memorials to me, including Adelia Staffin Briggs and one or two others. If you would also update the family relationship links for John and Phoebe Jane (Wilcox) Staffin, I will appreciate it. Thanks again.

Wondering if your Hawkins line had any Nebraska/Kansas connections. Possibly some Native American in this line through my great grandmother Hattie Rose Hawkins who was born 1886 in New York but later moved back to Nebraska around 1893 possibly

Barry Hawkins
Just checking in
Hi Thomas. My name is Barry T. Hawkins. My branch of the Hawkins family comes from New Hampshire (Sgt.Maj. John Hawkins, Centre Harbor).
Nice work you have been doing with Find-a-grave. I assume you have also done some genealogical research on your family name as well.
Are we in the same general branch?

Headstone
I want to thank you for taking a photo of my aunt's headstone, Mary Jane GERBER, in the St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Cemetery in Springville, NY and posting it to this site. I also volunteer for Find A Grave and was very delighted and surprised to find one of my own relatives that I have not photographed yet. I very much appreciate your efforts.
