I began researching my family tree in 2008, and have since become obsessed with the search. Find A Grave has given me many details I could not have gotten elsewhere. I have tried to return the favor by not only taking pictures of my family's grave sites and posting them, but also, many grave sites from cemeteries in and around the Fayette County, PA. area. The family names I am researching are Provance & May from the Dunbar vicinity, and Turner & Lee from the Ohiopyle area, both located in Fayette County, PA.|
I also work with the Fayette County Genealogy Project by inputting all the obituary and marriage records. You may want to visit the site. It could be helpful in your research. Link is shown below. Volunteers are always needed, especially those who are willing to type obituaries. Contact me if you would like to assist.

Thanks for the quick response. I too believe that Madonna is in the wrong cemetery. I have solved the mystery for Myrnie, she is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery in Morgantown with her parents. Thanks again....just too many Oak Grove Cemeteries..lol
|D. G. Keener||Gans family|
I could use your help straightening out what to me appears to be a mess. I just came across several entries for the family of Joseph L. Gans that have me puzzled. You have Joseph L. Gans and his daughter, Madonna Amos listed in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake Lynn. Someone has also put Madonna Amos in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Uniontown. Plus we have the wife of Joseph L. Gas, Myrnie (Keener) Gans, buried in Oak Grove Cemetery in Morgantown???? I found an obit for Joseph L. Gans in the Uniontown paper, and have forwarded it to you via his memorial. It states that he is buried in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Springhill township. Since you are working with the Fayette Co. Genealogical Society, can you double check on Myrnie Gans and Madonna Amos and Joseph L. Gans, and help me get all of them in the correct OAK GROVE Cemetery. I could not find obits for Myrnie or Madonna. Thanks.

OK. Please transfer Robert Dalzell and Anne McCormick Dalzell to 47993949.
|John Leach||RE: Dalzell|
The Anne McCormick Dalzell who was the wife of the Robert Dalzell buried here was born in Northern Ireland 1799 but was still alive when she and her husband moved to Fayette County, Pennsylvania, from Ohio in 1868. I'll paste a link to their son's autobiography below with that account. I haven't seen gravestones that were incorrect very often, but I suspect that this one is. It also looks too new to have been made in 1817, so I wonder whether it was replaced at some point, introducing the error. Indeed, I believe that this Ann McCormick Dalzell was still in Scotland until 1829. It seems that you have two possibilities: Remove the link to the son, because he was born in 1838, long after 1817. Or put a note on the memorial to say that there are questions about the date of death listed on the gravestone. Thanks for your work on findagrave.com.
