RE: Ruth Bradford
Sorry, I've moved on to another family and have not kept the data. I wish FAGrave would let us insert parents and spouses separately.

Mertie Gabert Appleby
Hi Cheryl,

My great aunt Mertie Gabert Appleby was born 24 Sep 1911 per her obit. I believe you have 25 Sep 1911. Thank you.

RE: hoover children
According to her death certificate she is buried there, and at one time she had a funeral home marker as she is listed in the Mount Union Borough cemetery listings. The borough how runs the cemetery after they received when the after the IOOF - Odd Fellows group went bankrupt. She is now no doubt in an unmarked grave as the funeral marker is probably long gone.

Thank you for these photos of my great grandparents.
Do you have any idea as to what the inscription is, at the base of their headstones?
I'm seeking further information on Mary and her family.

Thank you for everything!

Thanks, Cheryl, for your efforts in trying to locate the stone. These old 1700 - 1800 stones are often missing or unreadable, but so appreciate all your efforts to support Find A Grave and its mission.

Isaac & Maude Swope Headstone
I was thrilled to see their headstone! For years I hunted for verification they were buried in Broad Top. At first I guessed and later, I was able to verify with death certificates. The photos are icing on the cake.
