Bio Photo If you contact me, please take a moment to say hello, good morning, or hey how are ya. On occasion I get "suggest a correction" notices that are brief, abrupt, and unfriendly in tone and seem more like robot communication than actual human beings. It's a personal pet peeve and I don't react well to those sorts of messages. A little simple human courtesy goes a long way with me.

I research my family history in southwestern and south central Pennsylvania for the most part, although I live in northeastern New Jersey. Counties of interest include Bedford, Blair, Franklin, Fulton, Somerset, Westmoreland, Cambria, Fayette, Washington, Indiana, and others.

PLEASE: If you request an interaction with me, whether to discuss a memorial or request a transfer, please do not be "Anonymous" and not provide any means to contact you. I recently had someone request a transfer but when I tried to contact the person, was told that the submitter was anonymous and there was no way to leave a public message for him or her. I'm not comfortable with this method of communicating. Thanks.

PLEASE: If you write to me via "Suggest a Correction" PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE provide me with evidence in the form of some kind of documentation for any edits you'd like me to make. This is especially true if I don't already know who you are. It's not possible for me to simply accept what someone out of the blue tells me is valid without sources, documentation, proof or some other compelling argument. Sorry to sound like a grouch, but that's just the way my work goes.

RE: William Caldwell
You're welcome. I also added photos of the headstones for his wife, two adult daughters and two infant sons, Harry & Willie.

Memorial #74091662 Quite a while ago I tried to get a photo of Sarah's grave marker and was told that they needed the location of the grave before they could proceed. I have just learned the location which is: Section M, Lot 146, South Grave.

Is it possible to now get a photo?

Hi! Question....
Hi there. Saw your listing for Jane Nixon Lear, wife of Peter Lear. I wanted to ask about your photo of her death certificate. Are you a descendant? Just asking because I work on my own genealogy a lot and my husband's ancestors are Lears.

Thanks.

I'm wondering why you added his death certificate. Is he related to you?
I'm glad you did, as the state did not upload him onto ancestry and I was ready to order it myself.

RE: photos of obits
James Jones in Greenwood is an example of obit photo and obit in bio already.

Thanks again for your help and understanding with this matter

RE: photos of obits
Thanks,

The Find A Grave guidelines probably explain it better than I did.
But things like death certs and obits have to be added under "other" and not as "person" or "family".

I myself would rather add the obit in the bio section than have it added as a photo at all. I have seen a few obits you have added to my memorials that I have already added in the bio. Each memorial only gets 5 picture slots so to add a death cert and the obit in the pic slots is a little redundant if that info is in the bio section already. And then with the grave photo you can't add hardly anything else.

I ask that you please send me the obits so I can add them into the bios instead of adding them by photo to the memorial. This also lets me know of extra info that I might be able to glean from the obit to make corrections to the family memorial. If I don't know an obit has been added I don't get the corrections made which is some thing I would like to keep up on (keeping memorials up to date)

Thank you for your help!

Have a great day
