There were no markers for Matthew or Sarah Palmer. The only Palmer I found was for Thelma. I did add that photo to her page. To the right of her marker there is a long empty space with no markers. Sorry couldn't be more help. Thank you! | |

I have emailed you the location of the Bonnell Shell Cemetery on a map to the email address in the message body, which seems to be different that your Findagrave contact email. My Aunt is the one with the map, and who took the first photos but other people cleaned up the graveyard and there were better photos about 10 years later. Glad you were able to visit the David Austin Cemetery, and thank you for posting the photo of Virginia's stone.
The information I was given about the Austin family had her name as Virginia Talbot Austin, unmarried, died at 17 years. Do you have marriage info for her?
Did you meet Mike and his family? Such a great guy and so willing to help preserve the history right in his yard!

Regarding your memorials for them in Chariton Cemetery, they are not in Chariton Cemetery but instead are in Old Chariton Cemetery. There are memorials for both of them in that cemetery listing at Find A Grave posted by another member. The photos I took.
Chariton Cemetery is immediately adjacent to the Chariton Primitive Baptist Church on Rte. 3 north of Callao, Mo.
Old Chariton Cemetery is south of Chariton Cemetery about .5 miles and then on a lane through the trees another mile or so off the highway. The two are two separate locations.
