Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm an Information Specialist with a B.A in History and recent graduate with a Master's in Library Science. For the past few years as a hobby I have been working on family genealogy that was started by my mother in the 1970's. Working through old documents and well preserved photos that other family members would have thrown. I was lucky that my mom was an archivist. I have digitally scanned a lot of old photos.

THE MACOMBER DEBACLE
--------------------------
The Macomber family is an old name that starts with two brothers William & John that came to Plymouth in 1628. I have traced my Macomber side of the family back to my earliest Macomber ancestor that I confirm, my 4G Grandfather Joseph Macomber. Beyond that is only names & dates out of Everett S. Stackpole's 'Macomber Genealogy' 1908. After Joseph all fathers and sons are named either William or John dating to the 1600's in Devonshire, England. For this reason I have stopped going back any further than Joseph until I can confirm the story behind his ancestors in a source other than Stackpole's book.

I have traced my family names back to their places of origin:
Scottish (Lowe), Irish (Marr), English (Macomber), German (Leist & Laun) & French Canadian (Belanger).

MANY of my interments are relatives of mine - please contact me if you see a familiar name - we just may be able to make a connection!

Other Family names:
Bell, Coleman, Easterly, Fitz-Randolph, Furbeck, Ogden.

RE: Graves Cemetery or Ladies Union
Was there a John in the Graves cemetery? John Q died after the Graves cemetery was moved. Could it have been their young child who died? They could have had one just before John. Something to keep looking for as I don't have information on the child who died young. Thank you for the transfers and the link to Homer! Always nice to see a family fully linked.

RE: Coggshalls in maxwell cemetery
You are very welcome! I am glad to be of help. The names Annar and Lavenda are interesting. I know back in the day, sometimes names were spelled how it sounded. Which is interesting with all of the accents in the US. Looks like Anna and Lavendar; that's fascinating.

Oh, and I have transferred Lavenda Coggshall's memorial to you. Sorry about that. I was going to just go ahead and do that lastnight, but I was tired and forgot. Thanks for reminding me.

RE: Mary Ann Boddy Coggshall
Hi--no, I am not related. I just added some death certificates. Have you checked out the Linn County Genealogical Society at http://www.lgsoregon.org/ All of the Linn County DCs(1903-1960) are on their web site. They might have more information on your family. I see that her daughter Lena Bear died in 1957 and her DC is in Linn County. She is not on findagrave. Let me know if I can look anything else up for you. Diana
