Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in Oregon and started my genealogy hobby in 1976. That lasted for less than a year, and then I started again in the winter of 1998. I'm not a professional, but monitor, and have volunteered to answer some easy questions and requests for Multnomah County, Oregon, at GenForum and RootsWeb. I'm a member of the Genealogical Forum of Oregon, in Portland.

Family direct lines:
Paternal: Fenter, Hardage (Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri), 1800's.
Maternal: Campbell, Steele (Kansas, Missouri, North & South Carolina, Pennsylvania), 1800's.
Some Collateral lines of interest, Paternal: Allen, Bray, Cain, Doudy/Dawdy, Hardage, Hughes, Tanner.
Some Collateral lines of interest, Maternal: Anderson, Bailey, Chamberlin, Cook/Koch, Cordon, Drake, Duff, Hart, Hillhouse, Holmes, Montgomery, Myers, Stanley, Williams.

I treat each headstone photo with the same care as mom did for the annual family Christmas card for relatives and friends. We all had to look our best, had several photos taken, and she chose the best photo for the card. I try to give you the best photo possible. I know how important it is to be able to read all the text on the headstone, especially if you are the family genealogist, looking for a name for an initial, a date you don't have, or the name of a spouse or child.

Find A Grave allows space for 5 photos to be loaded on each memorial for free. Therefore, I try not to upload more than 2-3 grave marker photos so there is room for you to load photos of family and documents. If you need more room for photos, please contact me and ask me to remove a photo so you have more room.

If anyone would like to use any of my grave marker photos, please contact me for permission.

Regarding requests for transferring memorials I've created, but are not in my family, please contact me, and include your member name and member number.

RE: Dip Gay Seid, Memorial# 110837612

Thank you for the photos. I'm there once a year or two and am surprised I never did that myself. I did it for my mother who is right next to him. I don't know why I neglected to do his.

Thanks again.

The Rouse Family
Hi Jan, In August 2012 you provided headstone photos for me for Allen Reid & Olive (Schmidt) Rouse & children Allen Vern Rouse & Neva (Rouse) Stolte. I've been doing some "house cleaning" and found the FindaGrave photo messages that you had provided these. Doesn't look like I sent a thank 2+ years late but still sincere, Thank You so much. Your time and effort are appreciated! (The messages came 6 days before my sister passed away from brain cancer. Needless to say, my mind was not on genealogy at that time).
Regards, Kaye

RE: Greenwood Memorial Cemetery: Ratterree
I'll go over and take a look at the stone when I get freed up again. The City of Greenwood takes care of the cemetery. I'll dig around and see what I can find. I'll be out this weekend and work the election next week but I'll get on this after that and be getting back to you.
Be for warned April 19, 1968 we had a tornado and it cut this town into. The cemetery took a hugh hit and some of the stones were broken and pieces were removed with all the debree that landed in there. So you may find relation but no stones listed there.
Mean while look at Mount. Harmony Cemetery, Sebastian Co., Ar. There is several Ratterree's buried there. They are at the front gate headed South just to the left, and April is on the cemetery committee. My family is Seamans and they are buried there as well. Maybe you'll find more family conections there. I'll look into Jesse for you and for sure be getting back with something...Linda

I will go to cemetery when it stops
raining and check out graves next
to him...
