Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am an avid family researcher but by no means an expert! My wish is to find out all I can about my family so that I can leave my son with a great and proud legacy.

I was born in Summerville, SC and have lived here most of my life. For a brief few years in the 70s my Mama and I lived in Morgan City, LA.

As far as we know our families have been in the Lee, Horry, Darlington, Lancaster, Manning, Bishopville, Hartsville, Charleston, and Berkeley county areas of SC since at least the 1800s.

I am most interested in locating the Dyson and Riley lines back as far as possible. But I am actively researching all the following family names:
Mother's side ~ Riley, Dyson, Driggers, Lyles, Walters, Watson, Ward, Baker;
Father's side ~ Grainger, Jordan, Bland, Tyler, Dew, Todd, Stevens, Hyman;
Father-in-law ~ Green, Player, Brunson, Bunch;
Mother-in-law ~ Smith, McCauley, Cauley;
Step-Father ~ Pace, Brown, Byrd, Rogers;
Step-Father-in-Law ~ Karick, Rickenbaker, Lemmons, Felder, Hall;
Step-Mother-in-Law ~ Queen, Leatherwood;

If you have any information on any of these names, please feel free to contact me! I am always ready to learn new things about family, past and present! And I am always excited to meet "new" family members!

We should all remember where and whom we came from so we better know how to get where we are going.

The family is a haven in a heartless world.

When you look at your life, the greatest happinesses are family happinesses.

The strength of a family, like the strength of an army, is in its loyalty to each other.

A memory is what is left when something happens and does not completely unhappen.

Each that we lose takes part of us;
A crescent still abides,
Which like the moon, some turbid night,
Is summoned by the tides.

To rescue from oblivion the history of a large and honorable family is a praiseworthy achievement.
Somebody must begin the work. It is to be hoped that someone will complete it.

Tina which of the memorials is correct? Obviously one of them is in the wrong cemetery...
If it is mine I will gladly take it off.
