NOTICE to anyone who is considering copying my photos to another website without my permission. The following was copied directly from the FAG FAQ's page:|
"Photos posted to memorials on Find A Grave are copyrighted by the member who submitted the photos. Lifting the photo to use elsewhere would be a violation of copyright. You must obtain written permission from the member to use any photo for your own use. In general if you did not take the photo yourself, you do not hold the copyright to the photo."
I have been a member of this website for many years and love what the creators of this website have provided for us. Now having said that, I feel quite violated by what an individual has done with my FindAGrave.com information. I found all of the information I posted - including my personal stories about my parents on their memorials. All my family photos were lifted. Everything was placed on a website called Geni.com I have emailed them and this person to request it ALL be deleted unconditionally. I'm so angry right now. I don't want to make a knee jerk reaction and remove my information, but can't folks have just a WEE bit of common sense. I would NEVER take other peoples family photos and put in my tree/website without their express permission, even if it posted on the internet. **stepping off soap box**
I'm a Registered Nurse living in southeast GA. My husband and I live in a rural area with our 6 dogs (1 corgi, a corgi/jack russell mix, a yellow lab, 2 Heinz 57's, and our newest is a beagle/bird dog mix) and 14 goats. I'm addicted to genealogy and most of my photos are ancestors of mine or my husband. I try to get to the local cemeteries often, and am always glad to help others with photo requests.
If you find any errors on my submissions, please let me know so I can make corrections.

|Anne Dunn||Canzedia Gilbert Stockman|
Hello, My husband is the great grandson of Canzedia and Richard. His grandmother is Julia Stockman (Stogman). His mother is Julia's daughter Grace Elizabeth married to John Wesley Dunn. Could I have permission to use pictures from this site for his family tree? I recently found this cemetery. Joe's youngest sister is named Mary Canzedia. We live in Michigan but will visit the cemetery this summer. Thank you for any consideration you can give me.

Oh, I tell you how mad I became when they posted a whole lot of my data and personal notes and writing.
I just could not believe it. So you have many of us who have been there with you.

Jeanie, Thanks for the corrections. I am not related, so no transfer needed. Sincerely, Wesley

A William or Bob Trapnell (can't remember name) from Metter met with us in '97 and took us by the place he said Elijah is buried. He said it is unmarked. I haven't actually tried to find it because it's grown up. Probably wouldn't even be able to now. I don't understand why his grave is unmarked, just as I don't understand why some of my own local ancestors' graves were unmarked, i.e., John Williamson (c.1780-1851); these families certainly had the financial means to mark their parents' graves. And to never visit their parents' graves with their children so that they would know where they're buried is just unbelievable!

Please link Anna Collins (#41025309) to her parents, Samuel Ira Collins (# 59002275) and mother, Martha Elizabeth Compton (# 59044031). Thanks.

Sorry. I don't know why it was posted on Leon's, when I definitely posted it on Lula's. Thanks.
