I enjoy travel and love to visit cemeterys and memorials. My favorite cemetery at present is Scofield City Cemetery, in Carbon Co., Utah. I am called to visit coal mine disaster sites and cemeterys when I travel.|
This from Arleta's page:
"Sometimes God shows us a little glimpse of what He's got in store for us. Then the next thing we know, life comes along and upsets the applecart until it looks like what seemed so perfect at one time couldn't possibly be what the Lord had in mind. We give up on the idea, go on with living, and after time passes, end up getting what we'd one time had our heart set on -- and couldn't manage to get no matter how hard we tried on our own."
When you visit a grave in reality or on Find a Grave (ultimate reality) you bring credence to a persons memory. It isn't a life but it is a thought. In that thought there is life.

|Sheila casper||Gladys Gwendolyn Boulden|
The findagrave site lists her birth year as 1902 and death year as 1903.
The family bible (source, mothers pension application record) lists her birth year as 1892 and her death year as 1893.
These dates are better in line with the other children's birth dates.
I don't know if it was transcribed incorrectly or if the tombstone was made wrong. Is there a tombstone? There is no picture of one.
Please check this out and get back to me.
Thanks so much for your help!
|David Mower||Celestina Elardo, memorial # 150485|
I just submitted edits for Celestina. My source was her death certificate, which is here: http://archives.utah.gov/indexes/data/81448/2224903/2224903_0000294.jpg

Thank you Bill.

Thank you for updating my great grand uncle's memorial. Sorry for the typo. Ugh.

Celestina Elardo is not the mother of Oline M Halling (1833 - 1883)and Ammon Halling (1866 - 1902); their mother is Johanne Marie Kirstine Christophersen, my ancestors buried in the Mantua UT Cemetery.

Bill, Thanks for adding my note re his marriage to Christina Aikman Gilbert. I have suggested a link to spouse. I am curious about the middle name LOA. I down loaded his birth cert., and there is no middle name. Mind you, this is not unusual. I have found in a few cases where a middle name was assumed or acquired ! It may have ben difficulty in reading the inscription. I cannot make any Scottish connection to this name. Maybe a nickname ?

I love your bio. Whenever I leave flowers I write, " A person is never truly gone until they are forgotten. You are remembered." Same line of thinking. May I use your photo on my ancestry tree? I have taken some and yours is so much better! Brenda
