Bio and Links
Bio Photo I enjoy travel and love to visit cemeterys and memorials. My favorite cemetery at present is Scofield City Cemetery, in Carbon Co., Utah. I am called to visit coal mine disaster sites and cemeterys when I travel.

This from Arleta's page:
"Sometimes God shows us a little glimpse of what He's got in store for us. Then the next thing we know, life comes along and upsets the applecart until it looks like what seemed so perfect at one time couldn't possibly be what the Lord had in mind. We give up on the idea, go on with living, and after time passes, end up getting what we'd one time had our heart set on -- and couldn't manage to get no matter how hard we tried on our own."

When you visit a grave in reality or on Find a Grave (ultimate reality) you bring credence to a persons memory. It isn't a life but it is a thought. In that thought there is life.

Hello,

Bio states he died same year as born. (in the text portion), says was at nightclub in 1905. Was actually in 1940. Just thought I'd let you know. Thanks for all the hard work.

TY for creating her memorial - and adding bio. Tragedy certainly followed the Powers family. BTW, I have submitted edit request to add Gila, NM as place of death.

RE: hi Dot
Bill, I remember all to well the gem shows. My family use to sell their gems at the shows. What a great way to meet people with the same interest.
May you New Year be filled with wonders.
Blessings,

Happy New Year
Thank you for sharing my "Pulpit" posting and yes, we are all in the pulpit of life and need to share the saving grace of Jesus. If memory serves, I copied it from a newsletter of Pastor Chuck Baldwin online and felt it prudent for our times.

I had not remembered the mention of my name in Cool Hand Luke but know the scripture and live by it daily.

Have a truly blessed New Year!

RE: oiginal names
Thanks for the explanation, Bill. Not all memorials have that field and so far, I've only run into it on the earliest-created memorials, in general. It may be that the field was later removed from view at some point in time. I think you're right that it was intended to preserve the original entry. I have read about the disaster and it was so tragic; leaving many families devastated. I can understand all the various reasons for name misspellings - it would be helpful if that original name field could be viewable and even searchable across all memorials, especially because records, obituaries and headstone spellings can often differ. Either way, this is a wonderful site with so many kind people for which and whom I'm grateful, resspectively! Thanks and Happy New Year to you.

Information for James Calvin Cox
Mr. Carr,

I'd like to thank you for putting up the information for my grandfather on here where it is easily found. However, the information you have listed as his parents and siblings is all incorrect. I am going to attempt to edit the information later, but I wanted to let you know. Here is the link to his page: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSsr=41&GScid=2181559&GRid=18902056&

Thank you!

Sincerely,
Serena Boadway
