Bio Photo Currently on the Board of Directors and acting Registrar of Monocacy Cemetery in Beallsville, MD. I spent the past 9 years archiving this cemetery -- all 5,595 graves AND researched every person's genealogy so their FindaGrave memorial would be a complete resource for future generations seeking their ancestors.

RE: Marcella Benson
Marcella actually has her own stone, she's not on the reverse of William's stone (like many are). I can go back this week to get William's - I always check both sides, an normally scan the area for family. I missed William, but I will make sure I go back for him. Thank you.

RE: Dye Cemetery #1
This cemetery is close to Lonaconing, Allegany County, Maryland.
You have to go thru private property to get to it and you have to get permission to go thru.

RE: Ireland
Hello and thanks for responding. You have a photo in here with your name as a credit. It is of Church of Ireland Adare Union St Nicholas Church. It indicates that one of my relatives: my 4th great grandmother Ann Alford Drew might be buried there. I am taking a trip to Ireland and would love to visit her grave and any other of sites that my ancestors may be buried. As the photo was your credit, I contacted you in order to try to receive any help possible.

I would attach the picture, but the site does not allow me to do so- is there another way I may send it to you? Thanks again for any help!

Ens. Marshall Darby
Hello! I have been trying to keep track of the USNA grads who were lost of the USS Oklahoma. Unfortunately, my records haven't been the best and illness has made it worse, so I've gotten a bit confused about whether Ens. Darby's remains have been identified. I thought they had been, but now can't find confirmation of it. I don't know if I'm getting him confused with the two others from his class, Ens. Joe Hittorff, whose remains were recently identified, and Ens. Irvin "Igloo" Thompson, whose remains were identified back in 2008.

I have seen a recent list that is supposed to be official, of those who have been identified. Thompson isn't on it, but I guess that could be due to his being identified as part of the earlier effort. However, last Saturday, in Madisonville, KY, there was a funeral for Ens. Lewis Bailey Pride, Jr. USNA '41. His remains were identified recently, but his name is not on the list. Is it the same was with Marshall Darby? I'm very happy to learn that Darby had a ship named for him. Pride did, too.

Anyway, if you have any further info that could help me keep straight whose remains have been identified and when, and where they have been interred permanently.

Thanks very much!

Thank you so much for all your hard work. I have several Russells buried in the Cemetery in Marlborough, MA . And I also found out that two of them were killed in the Civil War, on at Gettysburgh.
