Bio and Links
Bio Photo Past President of the Mount Vernon Genealogical Society ( & author of New Copies of Old Records from Hebron CT, 1708-1875 (Heritage Books, 2011) & various articles on New England genealogy.

I have transcribed Litchfield County, CT cemeteries from the Hale Collection because I'm looking for 18th Century collateral ancestors in our Birge, Fox, Hatch, Holcomb, Hindman, Hunt, Noble, Peck, Thompson, Wilcox, & Willson lines. If you are related to other families in these cemeteries, let me know & I will transfer ownership of memorials with your surnames to you so you can add information and links. I have many other Connecticut ancestors in central Connecticut cemeteries, where I will also transfer memorials unrelated to our family.

Most of my Connecticut memorials are copied from the Hale Collection, which transcribed all Connecticut tombstones during the Depression. The transcription is not error-free, but Hale was able to read things then which are no longer legible today.

The New Hampshire entries are all from Colonial Gravestone Inscriptions in the State of NH, by Mrs. Charles Goss (1942). None are close relations of mine, so if you want to make additions or corrections, please just request a transfer.

When contacting me about a specific memorial, PLEASE do so from the Edit:Corrections & Queries tab on the memorial itself. This makes it SO much easier for me to respond quickly & accurately.

Lapiere Monument
I added a picture of the Lepire monument located in Saint Joseph Cemetery, in North Grovenordale, Connecticut.
Which list the following as being buried there:
Father - Edward Lapiere #85149149
Mother - Lucie Gauge Lapiere #85149182
Sister - Marie B. Lapiere #85149211

I entered in the edit section the changing of the last name from Lapiere to Lepire. Also, the mother' maiden name is Gagne and I requested this change also. As stated before this is my aunts family, if more info is needed please let me know. Thank you for the changes and the connection that you have made.

Richard Bishop 1602-1674
I have a Richard, baptised in 1602, in my family tree. His family at the time were still secretly practising Roman Catholicism. Do you know what religion the Richard who died in Salem in 1674 was practising? If he was a catholic that may indicate where he was born and link him to the Bishops still in the UK

80749724 father link, please review
Hi Linda

I think one of your links is incorrect. Please see 80749724. The father that is linked is the wrong John Russell. Even his birth date sheds doubt, he had Philip at age one?

I don't think the resting place of John is known, tho likely in Hadley or Hatfield.

Quigley - Saint Anthony Cemetery
Dear Linda,

I would like to request the transfer of Felix Quigley, #85557486, and his son, Felix Quigley, #85557434. Felix is my husband's 2nd great grandfather. I am responsible for the Maloney/Quigley family history and have created a memorial for Felix's daughter, Ellen A. Quigley Maloney and their descendants. Ellen's memorial number is 18914836. Here is a quick chart of the relationship of Felix to my husband, Pete.

Felix Quigley m. Mary Ann Herbert
Ellen A. Quigley m. Daniel J. Maloney
Augustin Maloney m. Cecilia Hoyt
Martha Maloney m. Michael Keilty
Peter Michael Keilty (my husband)

I do have photos of the Quigley monument and several obituaries I would like to include. I would appreciate you considering me for the stewardship of Felix and Felix E. Quigley.

Thank you,
gay choate keilty
