I have transcribed Litchfield County, CT cemeteries from the Hale Collection because I'm looking for 18th Century collateral ancestors in our Birge, Fox, Hatch, Holcomb, Hindman, Hunt, Noble, Peck, Thompson, Wilcox, & Willson lines. If you are related to other families in these cemeteries, let me know & I will transfer ownership of memorials with your surnames to you so you can add information and links. I have many other Connecticut ancestors in central Connecticut cemeteries, where I will also transfer memorials unrelated to our family.

Most of my Connecticut memorials are copied from the Hale Collection, which transcribed all Connecticut tombstones during the Depression. The transcription is not error-free, but Hale was able to read things then which are no longer legible today.

The New Hampshire entries are all from Colonial Gravestone Inscriptions in the State of NH, by Mrs. Charles Goss (1942). None are close relations of mine, so if you want to make additions or corrections, please just request a transfer.

When contacting me about a specific memorial, PLEASE do so from the Edit:Corrections & Queries tab on the memorial itself. This makes it SO much easier for me to respond quickly & accurately.

Hello, I notice that the above William Almy is recorded twice on Find A Grave. #47153536, as interred in Hillside Cemetery. William Almy was the brother to my Avis Almy (possibly a twin).
Date of death is shown as April 23, 1677. Their parents were Christopher and Annie Clark Almy.

Thank you SO much for the photos
Thank you So much for the pictures of the Asahel and Hannah Griswold graves and Asahel Jr. at Milton Cemetery. I am just starting to uncover this line of my husband's family. Many of his ancestral family are buried here I believe. I must find time to go there and poke around. Thanks so much for the pictures. I am amazed that stones so old are still standing.

Rufus Cleveland #85762060
Dear Linda,

I would very much like it if you would consider transferring Rufus Cleveland to me. I am a direct descendant, and it was Rufus Cleveland's service in the American Revolution that qualified me to become a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Thank you for your consideration, and your work to remember those who have passed.

God Bless, Maurene

Old Burial Ground of North Bolton
Please go through your Paine/Payne entries at this cemetery. You created duplicates with spelling variations of the original memorials.
