Bio Photo Past President of the Mount Vernon Genealogical Society ( & author of New Copies of Old Records from Hebron CT, 1708-1875 (Heritage Books, 2011) & various articles on New England genealogy.I have transcribed Litchfield County, CT cemeteries from the Hale Collection because I'm looking for 18th Century collateral ancestors in our Birge, Fox, Hatch, Holcomb, Hindman, Hunt, Noble, Peck, Thompson, Wilcox, & Willson lines. If you are related to other families in these cemeteries, let me know & I will transfer ownership of memorials with your surnames to you so you can add information and links. I have many other Connecticut ancestors in central Connecticut cemeteries, where I will also transfer memorials unrelated to our family. Most of my Connecticut memorials are copied from the Hale Collection, which transcribed all Connecticut tombstones during the Depression. The transcription is not error-free, but Hale was able to read things then which are no longer legible today. The New Hampshire entries are all from Colonial Gravestone Inscriptions in the State of NH, by Mrs. Charles Goss (1942). None are close relations of mine, so if you want to make additions or corrections, please just request a transfer. When contacting me about a specific memorial, PLEASE do so from the Edit:Corrections & Queries tab on the memorial itself. This makes it SO much easier for me to respond quickly & accurately.

Gen Henry Butler
Hi....I am confused!! You have the dates for Gen. Henry Bulter as August 02, 1757 - January 17, 1808) I believe those dates belong to his wife - Isabella (Fiske) Butler...I believe Henry's dates are (April 27, 1754 - July 20, 1813)...I was going to request his and Isabella's stone but I do believe the dates are wrong....Correct me if I'm wrong????

Gilbert Cemetery, Lyme, NH
Dear Linda Mac,

I have worked extensively documenting all the known burials in Lyme, NH's first cemetery. You have 8 memorials managed in this cemetery, and I wonder if you would consider transferring them to me? I have lots of family data to enter. Thanks,

Jay Cary, Lyme, NH

note edit on Find A Grave Memorial# 82107688
I sent this to you several times as an edit, but I think maybe it fell through the crack, so here it is in a message:

Find A Grave contributor JayLyme has made a suggestion to you regarding your Find A Grave memorial for Elizabeth Sloan.
Link to memorial:

Their suggestion:
Based on the contents of the headstone and the older transcription, this is the grave of an older married woman, so the note which says, "Dau of Capt. John & Elizabeth, age 9 yrs." should probably be deleted.

Also check out the description on the headstone photo. Thanks, Jay

Margery (Margaret) Fowler
I am very confused by two Margery (Margaret) Fowler on Find A Grave. They appear to be the same woman but quite different in marriages and death. Their numbers are 140421237 and 36643309. Can you solve this confusion? Thank you.

Janet Mercurio
Hello - You'll see that this is a duplicate memorial to yours. Yours was created first, but the second one located her burial place! Please merge the two memorials and then delete one.
Thanks a lot - Janet

FAG memorial #34834586
Hello -

I'm curious what the inscription is from, which is quoted on the memorial. Since the burial is unknown, there must not be a stone. So I'm very confused.

I also don't know what "Note: B-Kontor" means.

Any info about these 2 items would be most appreciated.

Thank you. - Janet

Elizabeth ROUSE Bourne: I have found @ least TWO other Memorials for this person,#24307468 and #50587978. I'm always glad to find a mem. for someone I'm researching. THREE is a little much. Hopefully you folks will combine your info. Sandy

I was able to locate a copy of your book. You should be proud of all your accomplishments. Where can I find any other articles you have written?

Thomas Hatch #34355039
Thomas Hatch #34355039 was my 9th Great Grandfather. Are you also his direct descendant? I'm an amateur Genealogist. Would you care to exchange/share a Family Tree/Lineage? Thank you very much for your consideration.
Ken Kelly,
