I'm a retired federal employee who fell into doing some online family research for a friend of mine - a McKenzie - and now I'm in so deep I can't get out! Most of you probably know the feeling. But it's a harmless obsession which I enjoy so I'll stick with it until I pull out the rest of my disappearing hair. I try to post most of my findings on Find A Grave so if you're interested in the McKenzie family who settled in central Missouri after emigrating from North Carolina via Kentucky, just enter the last name - mckenzie - in the box to the right and take a look! As for my own family, some surnames would be Fallas, Fallass, Bray, Oechsli, Mills - all of those in the northeastern quadrant of the lower 48 - and, on the Swedish side, Nilsson and Waldemarsson in the province of Skåne län.|

You're welcome. We really miss those restaurants!

I spent quite a bit of time in the 2 mausoleums that existed at the time his wife died and could not find crypts with their name. There are also dozens of niches for cremains that are difficult to see into without a flashlight. If you want to contact the cemetery office to get a more exact location, I'm willing to try again.

There are 3 mausoleums in Mount Moriah. Is he in the Temple Mausoleum?

Would you be so kind as to remove the death certificate off David's memorial page. His memorial number is 37670728. Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation.

Thank you for your messages. I have had a look at your page and have read through some of your memorials, including the one for George Woodall and others. You have done an amazing amount of work, and in doing so, have helped to preserve an important part of history. You are a credit to this website-thank you! I will add a photo of the vault to the memorial for Thomas Webb. Thank you again for reaching out.

I think you might like to add to the info on the Augustana Lutheran Church formerly located in the White Rock, SD site. The RATA (Rosholt Area Threshermen's Association) has moved the Augustana Church to their Threshing Bee Grounds on the Eastern edge of Rosholt, SD. They have repairs done necessary to make the building weather proof. Services are held in the Church building with parking for service attendees on the threshing bee grounds. Service is also held in the Church on the Sunday of the Threshing Bee in August of each year. The info is on the Walla Lutheran Church website, Roberts County, SD.
Thank you Tom for all you do for Find-A-Grave.

Hi Tom, I'll be happy to look into that for you. There was no marker near the bench that I could see - the ladies in the office at the church pointed out which bench was her memorial bench - North of the chapel. South of the bench, to the West of the chapel and slightly North of it, there is a little alcove called a Memorial Garden. There is a plaque on the wall containing names of those memorialized/buried there. I will get more information, but my understanding is that their remains are buried in the soil in that alcove. Rev Swanson's name is not on the plaque, but I wonder if she is actually buried there and not directly next to the bench. I'll see what I can find out for you.
