Hi Sherri,

You're welcome. I'm sorry it has taken me so long to reply. I removed the photo you requested. Did you find the Hiles connection?

Sherri, I'll just delete the picture and let someone with more experience retake it. Sorry I didn't take a better picture for you.

Sherri I was more than happy to do it. That day I had real issues with the darn sun so it's probably how I had to stand at different angels to get a good pic with all the engraving in the shot. I can assure you it's is perfectly centered. We pass that way minimum every 4-6 weeks and I'll try to get a centered pix on a not so sun shiny day. Thank for allowing me the honor of doing this for
your fanily, Sincerely, Leslie

I hope you do not mind that I took. And posted different shots of the Groundd but I like to make it so the family feels like they are there.

Josephine Thorn
Hello Sherri - I am sorry but there was no marker for Josephine. I walked around the entire area and looked at all of the markers, and there was no marker.

I have included area shots and the plot marker so you can see the area where she is buried. I cannot provide an exact location because I do not have the plot information for the existing markers to pinpoint the locations within a few feet. This happen a lot here in regards to there being no markers. I am sorry that I could not do more.

Best regards - Laurel

I apologize I didn't get the pictures posted timely. We went out to the new VA Cemetary and took them but then had a family emergency. I hope you are happy with the ones I put up tonight. It is a beautiful resting place for our veterans, very peaceful and surrounded by nothing but agriculture!

Coffee - Gillespie
Sherri, I am really confused. I can pull up all 3 memorials. One for Paulene Gillespie, one for A. Roy Gillespie and one for Rueben Coffee.
Portales Cemetery, USA, New Mexico, Roosevelt County. Joyce Gore Locke is the one who created the memorial. I just posted the photos on Rueben Coffee at your request. The photos on Gillespie are posted by someone else. Joyce has created lots of memorials in this cemetery and I don't understand why you can't see them. I just looked at them.
Joyce's email address is jglocke@yucca.net
Let me know if I can help further.

RE: Gladys A Coffee Burton and Victor O. Burton
Thank you for your thoughtful note. I plan to visit the cemetery very soon. This is also a hint for volunteers who go to large cemeteries. I got a copy of each section of Memorial Park Cemetery from the cemetery's office. It has the blocks and in some cases the lots identified. Each of the sections is inclosed in one of those plastic sheet protectors and all are in a folder with a copy of the entire cemetery in the front of the folder. I numbered the sections on the main map and then put the corresponding numbers on each of the individual section maps. When I claimed the Burtons yesterday, I found the correct section map. I then marked where you told me to look for them. Now when I go find them they will be easier to find because all I need to do is check the map. After I find them, I'll wet a paper towel and just erase my notes on them and the map is ready to be used again. This has saved me a lot of time when I have claimed a bunch of graves. To have to walk all over the place looking for a grave can be very time consuming. Again, thank you so much for your message.
