Bio and Links
Bio Photo Finding info on relatives or friends here can be very rewarding from a genealogical point of view for one. It can give you more leads! Posting memorials here has helped me find many living relatives as well. Many of which I never knew about! If you think your related, or have other info you can leave a message for me so I can contact you.
If I need to fix an error or add info, click on the edit button in upper right corner of the memorial in question.

Just to clarify; Many of my memorials in Colorado cemeteries have Obits with "RMN" as the source. RMN stands for The Rocky Mountain News.

Hello Mr Braddy, Just wanted you to know that the government marker has "6 IA CAV". The ^ looks very much like an 8, but the records indicate he was a member of the 6th Iowa Cavalry. Thanks for you hard work in posting all those markers - Dean Knudsen

Transfer Request
I have sent you several edit requests. If you prefer, I am related to every Buchanan in the Woodland Memorial Cemetery, in Woodland, Georgia. If you would like for me to manage those memorials for you, I'd be happy to do so.

Regarding memorial 41893154, are you actually related? I believe I am distantly related and am interested in information about his ancestors, who are also my ancestor. Any information would be appreciated.

George Richardson memorial page
Hi Scott, I was wondering if you might consider transferring management of George Richardson's memorial page to me.
It's memorial #44429296:

George was the grandfather of my grandmother, Hildur (Richardson) Durand. I remember her speaking of him a few times, and she left me a lot of pictures of George and the family at their house in Denver. It would be meaningful to me if I could manage his memorial page.

Thanks for considering my request, and thanks for all your contributions to FindAGrave!

Hi Scott,
I wondered if you would like to have Frances Ann Clawes Winholt and her daughter Marjorie's memorials transferred to you. I'm trying to reduce the number of memorials I manage, and saw that you have Frances's husband and other family members. LMK.

RE: Johann & wife Wamboldt
Thank you for transfering the Wamboldt's memorial to me. I can relate to emails getting buried too.

John Gallup
Hi Scott,

Looks good.

Curious -- where did you find John Galllup Sr's birth location?

Also, death location too? As I find him listed in the Colorado Death Index for Denver, Denver Co., Colo. Hmmmm wonders never cease. :-)

Charles & Frances Farnsworth
Hi Scott,

Hmmm, here is an odd one -- which of the two served in the Civil War, or did both? Here is what I have found so far. :-)

Charles Payson Farnsworth 33513439
Headstone states: Chas P Farnworth, Co B, 1 Colo Cav. From my notes: Near Charles is a Frances C Farnsworth.

1st Pension Card: Charles P Farnsworth, Col B, 1st Colo Cav, widow: Frances C Farnsworth d. 19 Aug 1930.
2nd Pension Card: Charles P Farnsworth, Sgt, Co B, 1st Colo Vol Cav, widow: Charles P Farnsworth.
3rd Pension Card: Charles P Farnsworth, Sgt, Co B, 1st Colo Cav d. 2 May 1911.
United States Veterans Administration Pension Payment Cards, 1907-1933,

Pension File: Charles P Farnsworth, Co B 1st Colo Cav & Co B, 1st Colo Inf, filed from Colo on Sep 1892, the widow Frances C Farnsworth filed from Colo on 11 May 1911.
United States General Index to Pension Files, 1861-1934,

Civil War Solder Index: Charles Farnsworth, known as C P Farnsworth, Pvt, Union, Colo Territory, Co B, 1st Regt Colo Cav.
United States Civil War Soldiers Index, 1861-1865,

Frances Cornelia Miller Farnsworth 33513360
For Frances, I find nothing really indicating that she was in the service, but the widow of a serviceman.

I think the confusion stems from the way one or two of these Pension cards were written up -- at first glance one would believe it was Frances that was the soldier, however, upon closer look, it is Charles. It's a little confusing when they list the widow on the card first, and then a line or two down you see the title 'soldier' and then his name. I went along searching under both their names; more and more I could see that for certain it was Charles, and perhaps not Frances that served. What do you conclude?

Riverside Veterans
Hi Scott,

I thought I saw that at one time you had a Virtual Cemetery for the Riverside Veterans. Was I seeing things? :-)

I ask because I am done compiling my list of the Veterans I have found, and would like to compare it to your be sure I have not missed anyone.

I hope to soon provide the list to the folks at Riverside, as they had asked me to do.

I also have a website where I have posted the list, which I hope to update soon.

Thanks much for all you have done. You have posted a lot of wonderful information on these Riverside Veterans. I am sure many kin folk appreciate all the effort you have put in to tell a little something about these folks and the services they have provided.
