Bio Photo Taphophilia: a passion for and enjoyment of cemeteries.

I have photo-documented Sts. Peter & Paul and New Mount Sinai Cemeteries in St. Louis. If you are aware of errors in any of my entries, please let me know. PLEASE USE THE "EDIT" LINKS AND PROVIDE YOUR MEMBER NUMBER (located next to your name on your member page) if requesting a transfer.

PLEASE NOTE: Because I receive a lot of email, I typically do not reply when sent an edit - just check back in a couple days and you should see it. I usually make edits within a couple days. If it has been over a week, please resend as I may not have received it.

HOWEVER, if you send me an edit that includes a question, please make sure your email address is available on your page, so I can respond.

Please don't add death certificates that are readily available on-line to memorials.

In addition to adding my family, I enter other graves. I am always happy to transfer a grave to a family member, or to update the grave as requested.

Families I am researching for my family include Mueth, Heidenfelder, Bockius, Buehler, Danneman, Frank/Franck, Freymyer, Meurer and Zieger--primarily found in the U.S. in St. Louis and Southern Illinois.

My husband's last name is Torrence. For him I am researching Torrence, Findley, Watt, Comstock, Peterson, Norton, Brown, Bieth, Sentman, Ritchie and Sixbury--from all over the Northeast.

Please ask permission before posting my personal family photographs or biographical material I have written from my memorial pages on this site to Ancestry.com or any other website or personal webpages.

Lately I have received messages asking for additional information on a memorial I have added. I am happy to help, but if you do not provide an email address or have your messages turned off, there is no way for me to respond.

Irene M Traub Bennett
Thank you! Yes you are correct, Irene was the sibling of Edna and John, and daughter of Henry and Margaret. Her husband was George T Bennett. Thus far I have been unable to find his grave.

I have been very very interested in finding descendants of the Irene M Traub Bennett family... any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Can't tell you how much I appreciate this site and those who make it happen! Thank you thank you thank you!

No, I'm sorry, but the death occurred long enough ago and Find A Grave allows them.

Thanks so much for your answer - yes, researching relationships and families does get a bit habit-forming !

Carrol's parents really played a mean trick on him .... arghh!

Mueller
Hi Katie,
I believe I found the death cert on my G. Uncle August R. Mueller.
his nephew Oscar Mueller gave family info so the birth is wrong but the death shows April 23, 1943 and the burial in the Old St Marcus Cemetery in St Louis, Mo.
I found that the Cemetery closed in 1960 and sold in 1977 to the city. I am wondering what happened to my G. Uncles grave. Is there a record showing all the persons buried in the Cemetery and a record showing the persons that were moved to the New St Marcus Cemetery. If so is there a way to get a copy of this record. I would like to put his info on Find A Grave and it seems to me all the other persons that are not listed. Upsetting on some of the things you run across that they do to the cemeteries.
If you get a chance to let me know I will greatly appreciate it.
My email is: carolyngrisham@gmail.com
Thank you,
Carolyn

RE: Bernard and Anna Kersens
Thanks so much Katie. It was very confusing. Maybe you could mention that on their site.
