The picture is of my Husband, Charles and my self on the Branson Belle, July 16, 2007.
In 1995 I was forced to retire from U.S.D.A. because of asthma & allergies. That is when I started my journey into genealogy.
I have lived in the Springdale Arkansas area for several years. I have 5 grown sons all live in this area. I am married to my 3rd husband, my first and second are buried at Georgia Cemetery west of Gravette,AR.
I am a Charter Board Member of the Georgia Flat Cemetery Association in Gravette, AR.
I have photographed and posted Georgia Cemetery in Gravette, AR & Shady Grove, Silent Grove, Salem Lutheran & the Ingram Cemeteries all in Springdale and I am working on the Spring Creek Cemetery in Cave Springs. I have been working on the Bluff Cemetery for over a year now and will continue working on it until I have it photographed and posted. I am also trying to look up the obits for my entries. This will take some time as I have not gotten all the pictures posted for Bluff. If anyone has any information or obits for any of my entries I would be glad to post them.
This is the greatest hobby I could have found and I love F.A.G. I can post information that can be found easily by others and the best thing is, it is FREE to everyone.
I do post old obituaries and some new ones even if I don't know where they are buried. I believe they deserve to be remembered as much as the ones that have tombstones. I also post them because of the stories that some of the obituaries tell. I love history and genealogy and to me they both go hand in hand and if I can help someone find information about their relatives by posting an old obituary it makes it worth my time. Find A Grave makes it easy to do that. I know that the name is "Find A Grave", not find a dead person. But isn't that what graves are all about the person in the grave not necessarily the grave and that people deserves to be remembered even if you can't find their grave. Note: If I enter a cemetery or any one in Find A Grave, I will gladly turn over the entry to a family member, good friend or an association taking care of the cemetery. If anyone finds mistakes, needs to add info or needs me to make any changes at all just let me know. I also greatly appreciate it when people let me know that I have duplicated an entry. I will gladly go back and delete the duplicate.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE A MEMORIAL I HAVE POSTED TRANSFERRED TO YOU. PLEASE GO TO THE MEMORIAL CLICK ON THE "EDIT" TAP IN THE RIGHT HAND CORNER.THEN CLICK ON " SUGGEST A CORRECTION" IN THE BOX JUST PUT "PLEASE TRANSFER" THEN CLICK ON "SEND THE MESSAGE" THIS WILL GIVE ME ALL THE INFORMATION I NEED TO TRANSFER THE MEMORIAL TO YOU.
In the Bluff Cemetery, if you find a grave without a plot please look in the flowers. If I can't get a hold of the person that posted the memorial I will put the plot number in the flowers, this is for Bluff only. Also sometimes I will put obituaries in the flowers, if I can not get a hold of the person that has posted the memorial.
If I have taken a picture and it is not clear let me know and I will be glad to go retake it. | |
