Sophia Goodall Knowlton (fag # 57376427)
There is no evidence that Sophia is buried at the Beechtown Cemetery. The earliest known grave is 1860. I have worked with this cemetery for more than 30 years and have done a lot of research relating to burials there. I would request that you delete Sophia from the Beechtown link.

Thank you, Lynn

RE: Alonzo Tullar
Thanks, Linda,
I just now read your note about Alonzo Tullar and looking for the Tullars in the La Salle cemeteries. Thank you so much! I found some of our family (Robinson) in Wenona. I flew out to meet my brother who lived in Madison, WI, and we drove there and met 3rd cousin Tom Mead who showed us all around. Then we had the best lunch in a bar there-back room- of soup and a hamburger that I've ever had. It was the best part my visit with my brother. We saw our ggrandmother Julia Ann Robinson nee Tuller's tall headstone. We couldn't find Abiathar's. I think he was buried there without one. He died much later. There were a whole lot more Robinsons there, and now I believe they were not our relations. I've since had the familyfinder DNA test through FTDNA, and have had one other Robinson get the test and they don't match up. So there were just a lot of Robinsons living in that teeny town, evidently.
It's wonderful you are taking pictures of these cemetery headstones. They are so important. I had been doing it out here in Oregon, too, and loved it.

Mary Cooper #42804478
Hi Linda, will you please add the obituary for Mary?:

Mary Cooper

Mrs. Mary Cooper departed this life at her home in Teed's Addition, Tuesday evening, March 29, 1910, at eight o'clock, of bronchial trouble, being nearly 88 years of age. She was born in Macroons, County Cork, Ireland, April 13th, 1822, and married to John Cooper with whom she came to Mendota about fifty years ago. Mr. Cooper died in 1875, and since then she has lived with her daughter Jennie. Mrs. Cooper was a kind old lady, a good mother and respected neighbor and friend. There are left to honor her memory five daughters: Mrs. Michael Gennee and Mrs. Daniel Gennee in Tower Hill, Ill., Mrs. August Schultz, Mrs. George Holland, and Miss Jennie Cooper in this city. The funeral services will be held at St. Mary's church by Father Heaney this morning. May she rest in peace.

Clock & History
Thanks for posting a picture of that clock and history. I remember my great uncle N. Clyde Geeding showing me the clock and that typed history when we visited him on Loomis Ave when I was a kid.

Uriah "Uri" Weaver
Find A Grave Memorial# 140146932 -- Please make the following corrections to this listing (I am a direct descendant family member who has direct information from the family bible and other records):

The given name is Uri, not Uriah....his parents are not the ones you mention. He is the son of Jacob and Mary Weaver of NY. Not sure where you got info as to where he was born -- that is an unknown at this time. Phila's information appears to be correct, based on the info I have found.

Uri was the brother of my g-g-grandfather, Henry Weaver. My line of Weaver's go back to at least the early 1700s in NY. They ventured west into Illinois in the mid 1800s. Henry, Uri, and Elon all bought property in Freedom, IL in LaSalle County -- Uri ventured into Chicago, Elon headed for Iowa and Henry stayed in Freedom, where he ans their father, Jacob, are buried in the Prairie Center Cemetery, along with several of my other relatives, including my grandmother and uncle.

I really appreciate your time in posting information and working with this website -- it is a tremendous help to those of us who are not close enough to visit. However, I am sure you also want correct information to be posted, so I know you also appreciate all the help you can get! Thanks, again...Kathy Weaver, direct descendant of Jacob and Mary Weaver, my paternal g-g-g-grandparents and parents of Uri Weaver.
