I was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., and grew up just east of there in the small town of Murrysville. Through Army, college, and company transfers, I've retired to East Texas.

I was married to Janet Marie (Vogel) Hartley ,and have three children, Tim, Todd & Kari.

My genealogy interests are (Paternal): Hartley, Headlee(ey), Gass (my stone wall), Fordyce, Lemley, Shriver, Barrickman, Jones, Cunningham and Prickett. (Maternal): Green, Knox, Jackson, Scott (England), Heacox, Barton and Hawley.
I'm willing to take photos for anyone in and around the Tyler, Texas area. I would like to thank those that have taken photos for me. I've "met" some great friends that way.

Please email me with any additions and/or corrections and I'll gladly update.

Please note: Many thanks to Carolina Angel for sponsoring my wife's memorial page.

A very special thank you to my friend Diane Miller for sponsoring my great grandparents, Joseph & Margaret (Scott) Green and Albert Henry Knox. Please visit Diane's family.

Mary Addie Headley Burden
I'm afraid, Olin, the only confusion you have is the ability to try to make two people one. Mary Addie Headley was born the same year as my Aunt Addie but she married William to get the Headley name. When Aunt Addie married Uncle Howard her name changed to Burden and she did die in 1927. I hope this clears your confusion that there was indeed two Addie's. Carol

Olin, I sent a few more pictures to the email you have listed here. Hope this helps. If you have any trouble opening the attachments, let me know.

RE: Ephraim Headlee
Hi Olin. It's actually on private property coming up Little Shannon Run Road. My cousin owns it but I cannot remember the exact location. He does keep it cleaned off. I will check with him about Mary's grave.

RE: Viola Maggie Hartley King
I am not related to her but many of my husband's family members are buried in that cemetery in Sumner, Oklahoma. My husband's cousin, Richard Lambert, works hard to make sure the cemetery is maintained.

RE: James Fordyce
Would you be willing to apply for him a military headstone? I can't because I'm not a relative, but I would still like to see him have one. If not, I'll try to make something up to make him a marker.

RE: Thomas Pricket, James Fordyce
How again are you related to James and Mary Weekley Fordyce of Tyler County, WV? I need to find a relative to be able to fill out the form to get him a military headstone.

Thanks a Million!

I added the picture for you.

I am going to try to get your photo requests for both Headlee Cemeteries. I don't know where the cemeteries are and Perry township lady didn't know either. There are two Shannon Run Roads (Big and Little). I will just have to drive both. I do know that the cemeteries are listed backwards from Greene County Records Cemetery 1 is 2 and vice-versa and that Isaac Headlee Cemetery is considered Headlee Cemetery 3

Thanks for adding the statement from my family records re marriage in new meeting house in Newtown- but please remove my name, leave my volunteer number, but remove name okay?

I recommend putting the statment first, then in parentheses add number only, that puts the historical statement center and volunteer info in background.

"They were the first couple to be married at the new stone meeting house in Newtown."
(volunteer #47391825 family records)

Thank you, M

I am in the Davis Camp! I'm currently Camp Commander. I've heard tell of a mystery member in Texas! What a joy to (sort of) meet you!
