This started with my mother's photograph albums about 1999...flipping through, asking questions, slowly realizing that the info I was learning needed to be remembered well past that day.|
Since that time, I've learned so much about my own history and the ancestors who came before me. I've gained an appreciation for them and the local history that I never had as a kid. Now the stories about the area where I grew up - southwestern Pennsylvania - took on new meaning. I've learned my ancestors' roles in that history and discovered their contributions.
My goal is to honor them all with a memorial that I hope will survive long past me.
Ancestors of research: Ambrose, Barnhart, Bitner, Buzzard, Coover, Countryman, Dellone, Dutocq, Eacus, Emerick, Grainer, Griffin, Haquin, Harbison, Holtzer, Karns, Kohler, Kuhns, Lauer, Long, Matthews, McAllister, McClarran, McNutt, Mechling, Mitchell, Myers, Nicely, Noel, Poet, Romer, Schmidt, Shirey, Spohn, Stepp, Thomas, Walker, Weaver, Weiss, and Wilhide.
Sprinkled among the ancestors' memorials are a few for friends I have lost. They, too, have played important roles in my life.
For all who have come before and walked the same grounds that I later found, I hope these memorials do them justice.
If I've created a memorial for a relative of yours (and it's not an ancestor of mine) and you'd like a transfer, please ask - via the edit tab. Family belongs with family.

I visited this cemetery from CT twice last year...looking for my 4x great grandmother...found her!! I also went to a nearby historical society and made a copy of an informal survey of gravestones done in 1999. I am in the process of adding names to this cemetery if they are not already listed...am only up to the "B's"..so many names..it will take me a while. It is a very large cemetery...well kept and still in use today. Let me know if you feel there are other names/gravestones there and I will look them up and let you know.
Good luck with your genealogy,

I do not own Otto's memorial page and therefore posted it to his wife in an effort not to lose the info contained in it.
