Just sent edit for date of death - source: Application for Military Headstone. It was signed by a Melvin Feeback of 1610 Wood Ave, KCK Kim
Thanks for the nice note and the offer. I went to school at U. C. in Cincinnati. We had a friend that lived in Dayton. Also, I started work out as a civilian for the Air Force and eventually in the Department of Defense so I have been to Dayton and the museum there.

Thanks for the info on Woodland. I'll have to check into it. I'm not sure how something like this could happen. Linda

Are you the same Jim Converse living in Rhode Island who severed in Berlin with me?

Would you give me your linage back to Decon Edwards Converse?
|Rocky Bartlow||Daniel Volz-Reading KS|
I have some info to add to this memorial. Daniel Volz's descendant, Ed Houghton, came to our Sons of Union Veteran's of the Civil War camp meeting (Old Abe Camp #16 Topeka) and gave us this info. I am in the process of verifying his grave on the SUVCW National Graves DB and was checking to make sure the info was in FaGrave as well.
He also brought a fantastic collection of GAR ribbons, etc including one awarded to Mr. Volz as a survivor of Andersonville.
I have a PDF of his obit, etc I would be glad to send if you will send your current email. I tried your hotmail and it came back.
