I am a retired woman who loves doing research. I found out about Findagrave.com because one of my genealogy friends sent me the information that my mother's grave was listed here. I am researching the names Harrell, Randolph, Chisum, George, Robinson, Horn, Bailey, Shirley, Howell, Pilant, and related lines. The last three hundred years or so they have all been in the south, except a few distant lines migrated to Ohio and Indiana.
I also love cats, and currently six of them own me!
If I have made any mistakes or omissions, please email me with the appropriate information so I can correct them. If you are more closely related than I am to any of the memorials I have created, I'll be happy to transfer them to you upon request. | |

 | RE: Margaret Brooks Bailey, Bailey Cemetery I just did a quick search on ancestry for Robert Bailey -- it appears that his parents were Jobe Bailey and Jemima Minton. Becky | | | Pooh Bear
 | RE: Margaret Brooks Bailey, Bailey Cemetery I am currently working on the Brooks family tree. Margaret's parents were Allen Brooks and Margaret Minton. I do not have any information on the Bailey family other than their children. If I can be of assistance to you with the Brooks family please let me know. Becky | | | Pamela Mathis
 | RE: Ellis in Smithland Cemetery I have more Ellis's named and I assume a daughter that married and her family. Just have not had time to download them. Hope this helps . I also saw some names that had Ellis as maiden names. Let me know if I can help again in this cemetery. Pamela Mathis | | | J.R.L.
 | RE: E O Stout in Mounds Cemetery, Brown County, Illinois Info was gleaned from the "Brown County Cemetery" book, published circa 1970's No stone that I could read. We no longer live close to Mound, so unable to recheck John (JRL)Added by J.R.L. on Jun 11, 2013 7:09 AM | | | David Johnson

 | RE: Davidson Cemetery My first trip down those dirt roads also took place the first time about 30-40 years ago when I was heading to a deer lease. I was following someone who was in a 4 wheel drive and the roads got so muddy and slick that I had to park my stationwagon and load up in the other vehicle. I didn't know of the cemetery back then and didn't realize I had family buried there. I ended up on another deer lease in the area years later and that is when I learned of the cemetery and made a special side trip to see it and take photos. The roads are slightly better than they were 30 years ago. The drive down those dirt roads are not bad when they are dry, but when they are wet and muddy, I don't advise anyone to drive them, especially in a 2 wheel drive car.
The cemetery is not hard to find, but it is a pretty good distance getting there once you get off of the paved roads. The cemeteries main page on Find A Grave should have a Google map link on it. | | | Shirley Bradley
 | James Wesley Scobee Hi Valita - Sorry I did not get back to you before, but I have been searching for any information that may help you. I can find nothing in my files or searches that indicate Emma Palmer had another name of Brockow. I did find one Ancestry family report that listed documentation of an 1880 census and that the parents were: George W. Palmer, b. 22 Feb 1844 in Missouri, d. 22 Dec 1918 in Redlands, San Bernardino, California. Mother was Christina Stout born in Switzerland 1851, d. 18 Aug 1925 in Redlands. There was no documentation listed for the parents other than the information came from other family tree reports. I tried to keep track of Emma and what I had already in my notes on her is that in 1915 in the Iowa State Census, Emma Scobee, 36, divorced, and both children are living in Clarksville, Butler, Iowa. In the 1920 US Census, Emma Scobee, 41, and daughter are living in Los Angeles, California. I could not find any more info on Emma. In the 1925 Iowa State Census, both children are back living with their father and second wife Tillie in Iowa. Hope this little bit helps. Shirley Bradley | | | Beverly Busselle Plack
 | John and George W. Russel It is interesting that these are "sons of Adam and Mary Bussel" I've requested photos for the Russel's. Let's see what we get. Thanks for checking. | | | | [View all messages...] |
