I welcome corrections, updates, links, and additional information on my memorials. |
Thanks to the photographers who go out in the cold and heat to get photographs of stones for us all. Findagrave couldn't exist without the 'boots on the ground' folks.
The lines I look for are Worsham and Moody on my mother's side, O'Quinn, Summers, Rentz and Kinard on my father's side.
I have added some grave photos. They aren't the best; please let me know if you have a better photo to post and I will gladly delete mine.

Thanks Anna for the transfer of my 2 cousins to me.

Have you read the book written by John A. Chapman, History of Edgefield Co., SC? The entire book in online. Google and find some of your Abney questions. Robert

Anna, I am not the author. The other one does write good books.

Just added the information you sent for Capt. Allen Tobin (the message you sent had ended up in my spam folder)

You're very welcome. I couldn't find a headstone for his wife, Dora Lula Hickum Brown. The only other headstone in the area was for his mother-in-law, Lula Fannie Ledford Hickum. Note: Weaver Brown's birth year is 1892.

Hi Anna. Once again, I have to report a not-so-good outcome for your photo request. Thing time it's not too bad; there is a headstone but it does't have his name inscribed on it. He is sharing a grave with Carrie Mae Jackson.

Yes, I was thinking about that earlier. It's my next step. Thanks for your encouragement.

I have come to believe in the last few days that Eliza is my 3-great grandmother rather than John Lomas' second wife. Everything just fits. I'd love to find John's grave. I wonder if he could be at Trinity, too. His second wife and quite a few descendants are buried at Elmwood. Also I have no clue what Eliza's maiden name was. Thank you for posting this memorial.

Anna, I sure wanted to find this headstone and photograph it. Unfortunately, when I got to the location, there was no marker. I am disappointed to say the least. I am going to fulfill your request with a photo of the area. The only good thing is that the Forum is in the background, making it an interesting photo.
Sorry this was not a more positive outcome.

Thank you so much for making the changes to get everything added. I really wish I could have found an obituary for her, but I couldn't. I was extremely lucky to have found her brother's which listed her husband's name. I live in Louisville, Ky where he passed away.
