Bio and Links
Bio Photo Something I forgot to add, I am always on the lookout for unusual names, have added quite a few that are the only one listed, which is hard to do on here.I also wanted to tell everyone , many thanks for the updates, corrections, add on articles etc, and apologize for never writing back and saying it is done..I will always do the edit, but do not write everybody to let them know I did..I get so many edit requests, and do not mind doing them at all...Thanks again....I live in Baton Rouge La.Though I have listings in many states, most are within a days drive on my home.I really enjoy fulfilling photo requests, it is like a treasure hunt, and I like knowing I am helping a loved one connect in some small way.I love driving back roads and finding cemeteries in the middle of nowhere.I add veterans of most all the wars,as a small tribute to those that have shaped our country. But I have a special affinity for the guys of World War II.These soldiers are the reason today we are a free country and we are losing them at a rate of over 1100 a day.Take time out to thank them .And then there are the ones that reach out and for whatever reason touch me.I also seek any family last names, such as Cox,Cover,Vaughn.I usually enter the info directly from the grave marker, but will add any info requested. If any errors are found please let me know and I will correct.I do find such peace and love and sadness while walking these sites. Also every one of these I have entered I actually walked the cemetery. Therefore a little more personal to me. Please if you are new on here, we do welcome you, but be respectful of the rules and regulations.I want to apologize for all my errors. When I first started entering graves 11 years ago, i wrote the info down and transferred it, many times it was raining or I just could not understand my writing. Later years I add from a picture usually. So please forgive my early attempts

John A Van Dyke Gravestone
Thank you for adding the photo of John A Van Dyke's gravestone (Find A Grave Memorial# 136266342). His wife was Edith Boucher dit Maurepas. As I understand it, the gravestone was added much later after they both died by family members. They didn't know how to spell Edith's maiden name thus the spelling "Demaurapeaux".

The Elphick Family Grave photos
Thanks so much for finding and photographing the headstones for Betty and John Elphick. That is so great to have those photos. Betty was my aunt and I have been trying to make contact with her sons, and tried to spruce up these memorials, in the hope that they find it, and me.

Find a grave
Thank you so much for taking the time to locate my ancestors headstone and photograph it. I have been working on my family history for about ten years and filling in all the little holes seems to be taking forever. It's with the help of people like you that I can get it finished! Thanks again Dawn Pedersen

The name corresponds to a pic and I have put the pic number into the 'note' on memorial -- because if the name is questionable and someone is looking for a 'Riley' in that cemetery I can show them where to locate and correct the name (and my files) as needed since there is some question to the name. With all the 'unknowns' in a cemetery I referenced my pics because sometimes the stones get broke, destroyed, moved, mowed over and that pic is the only indicator (and that of other family members) there and they are not forgotten just remembered.

Could have done a lot more in the Bogalusa Cemetery with so many unknowns but it happens everywhere I went to photograph, with few exceptions.

Oh yea, when a family member is looking for family member and cannot locate markers if I have the pic I can give them direction when there is no record of them on paper.
