|I was born and grew up in Leakesville, Greene Co., MS. I use the name B-24Co-pilotBro on findagrave in honor of my brother, Flight Officer, George F. Churchwell, Jr., U. S. Army Air Force, a one-month (youngest in his class) Turner Field, GA, flight school graduate, who as a young B24E Co-pilot was killed in a military airplane crash in 1943, as a result of successive port engines failures during a night time training mission.I have been formally studying families with ties to Greene County, MS, since the 1970s, to many of which I am related. In addition to Churchwell, I am a descendant of Breland, Daughdrill, Harrell, Freeman, Williams, Shepherd, Smith, Roberts, Chatham and Barnes.|

I was hoping you might be related to the memorial you have added to findagrave for Betty Jo (Rutherford) McLeod, I just sent you a SAC to link her father's memorial.
Betty Jo was one of my grandfather's nieces through his brother Ray (Roy).

Hello, I noticed you had a photo request in Oak Grove Cemetery. I looked up the burial records for Vickery and only see a J D without dates. If you know for sure which Vickery you are looking for, if he is in this cemetery, I can take the picture.
|Brentley Shane Waller||Churchwell Cemetery|
hello, this is Brent Waller Commander of the Greene County Gaines Warriors SCV #2215. we are attempting to locate Churchwell cemetery and need directions , as none are on its page, on our list we have 2 Confederate veterans burried there. we are trying to locate all of them in Greene COunty, and find many who were listed with CSA stones, have none. Much of the records on MCGR seemed to be in error. I can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or 601-394-2257 we have started a hands on Grave Registry for all the boys in Greene County who fought the tyranical Northern Invaders, this can be seen at http://personalpages.tds.net/~alvinroberts/
our scv facebook page for greene county is https://www.facebook.com/groups/GainesWarriors/
one more question...do you know who owns the property on which the cemetery exists. Perhaps I could contact that person to find out who placed the Eldridge Lyles marker.

I will try to get the incorrect cemetery deleted.
So, there is another Pipkins cemetery in Greene County? Is that what you are saying?
Do you know anyone that would be willing to search for the death notice/obituary for Harriet Lyle and Etheridge Lyle? I would guess the Greene County Herald would be the logical place to look?
Thanks for your help.
