RE: Peek Cemetery
Thank you for the transfer. I believe she died before 1900.

I found 2 different dc for Lita but I think they are ths same person. Lita in Buncombe County buried by an undertaker and Telithy in Madison County buried by friends. Info pretty much the same on both. She was Dorcas' daughter in law. Her son James, is buried in Broughton Hospital Cemetery. There is all ready a memorial for her with a photo - Clarissa Delight McHone Austin. There is also a Telithy Austin - no photo.

So, I'm wondering if she has 2 markers. One bought so to speak and the other handmade.

RE: Peek Cemetery
If you would like to make the transfer that would be great.

I thought I had found who the LITA was but turned out I was mistaken. Her husband was Amos and that doesn't fit with the children I have for her. But could be another child as I have only been able to find 4. If I could make a suggestion...go ahead and post it as an Unknown Austin. I'll work on finding out who it was.

Once again, thank you for all your hard work and the great photos!

RE: Peek Cemetery
The Darkey A would be Dorcas Lewis Austin I believe. She is referred to as Darkie on my gg-grandmother's death cert. Jane Elizabeth "Betty" Austin Mace, who is also buried there. Can't wait to see the photo.

Noticed the new photos you have added. Nice photos. I have quite a few relatives there. I have only been to Madison County one time but hope to make up there next year. Is this cemetery easy to get to?

Duplicate memorials
Hi there,

Thank you so much for telling me that someone had created a duplicate memorial. Whenever this happens you can send an email to asking to have the two memorials merged. Find A Grave will add the two memorials together using the oldest as the owner of the memorial. All you have to provide is the two names and the memorials numbers they will transfer any info (obits, Photos, bio, links) etc.

Your Sister in Christ,
Dona Lynn Carr
