HI, I WAS BORN AND RAISED IN PALATKA, FLORIDA IN 1938. I HAVE LIVED WITH-IN A 100 MILE RADIUS OF PALATKA ALL MY LIFE. I NOW LIVE IN LAKE COMO, FL.|
I LOVE EXPLORING CEMETERIES. THEY ARE THE MOST PEACEFUL PLACE IN MY WORLD. AND I GREW UP AROUND FUNERAL HOMES AND CEMETERIES. I AM A MOTHER OF 4 BOYS [2 NOW DECEASED}. IF YOU FIND ANY DOUBLE ENTRIES OR CORRECTIONS ON ANY OF MY MEMORIALS PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO CONTACT ME. I'M ALWAYS GLAD TO MAKE CORRECTIONS OR ADDITIONS. I WANT MY INFORMATION TO BE AS ACCURATE AS IS HUMANLY POSSIBLE. GOD SPEED TO US ALL IN OUR SEARCHES.
I am happy to transfer and/or correct for anyone. However , I need more information in order to do this. First, a link to the memorial is very helpful, or at the very least the cemetery name. Your F A G # is super helpful. Without this information it may take me hours to find what I'm looking for. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Hello Rose: Am interested in adding the maiden name and full family links to Mary E. Driver ~ she was my great grandmother. I was unable to find a grave posting for her and so posted one myself this week. I am new to Find A Grave even though oddly enough once I registered it stated I have been a member for 8+ years. Two other members have been assisting me with linking my great grandfather and my grandfather and his siblings. One of those members found your posting and I so appreciate the memorial you posted from the paper in 1903. I have deleted my posting of her and have added a photo of her with my great grandfather AV Driver, Sr. but would like to be able to link her to the rest of the family. Since the messages are public and the only other way to communicate is through edits which are difficult, please feel free to respond via my email email@example.com Thank you.

Rose, you need to go into the memorial you're referring to and make your request using that procedure.

When you go to the cemetery, on the right side is where the Conway's are buried. It is believed that John's grave is on the right side of Reverend Charles Daniel Conway and his family's graves. Unfortunately, I have been told by some of the older people, who were young children or young adults during that time, that in the 1940's-1950's, after Camp Blanding took over, that the military practiced nearby the graves and that many tombstones were destroyed. Many of our ancestors have lost their gravestones because of "some reason". There have even been entire cemeteries that were absolutely there at one time, that eventually succumbed to Camp Blanding. There is eye witness testimony; however, I am sure that Camp Blanding has some excuse or would deny the whole thing. I personally am only stating what was said to me, and have no other evidence on the subject. Having said that, I believe that John is buried in the open area, toward the right of the Conway's. Other Conway's could also be buried past the foot of the graves in the Conway section. At this time, I do not know how you would entirely determine the exact location, just the area. I am so sorry that I can not give the exact spot; however, I do know that he should be there near Reverend Conway. I can show you the area if you ever want. We can go the next time that Beulah is having a cemetery visitation clean up day if you want. Let me know. Also, So far I have not found a photo of him, but if I do, I will be sure to share it with you of course. -Talmia

I was wondering, if you ever decide to transfer management of the memorials for Cherity Harper Strickland and her husband, if you would consider transferring it to me. They are my 3rd great grandparents and I would like to share biographies about them. Thank you,
Talmia Slade Burr

Are you related to Calvin?
My name is Adrea Scholnick - Miller. My dad, Irving Scholnick served on the USS Hope during WW2. When he passed away in 1997, I decided to make a website in honor of those who served aboard the ship with him. Unfortunately, he was army (medical staff) and I didn't have much in the way of military records for the Naval personnel.
A few weeks ago, after almost 20 years, I obtained the muster rolls for the USS Hope and am finally able to research the men and women from the navy, and to my surprise I have all of the names, ranks and other information about people who were patients aboard the USS Hope.
Researching this is very tedious. I am trying to obtain pictures of as many men & women who set foot on the ship as I can to be included on their own personal webpage. Calvin was a patient on the USS Hope in November of 1944.
I was wondering if you have any pictures of Calvin (in uniform if possible) that you would be willing to share for my website.
Thank you in advance.
Adrea Scholnick - Miller
daughter of Tec 5 Irving Scholnick
