Bio and Links
Bio Photo I just love genealogy. I got hooked several years ago. I just love walking cemeteries. Many old stones are gorgeous. I just love a good mystery to solve. Many time answers are just awaiting me. I just have to keep my eyes open.

I add other stones that I see in my treks in hope of helping others. If I have added one of your family, I'd be happy to transfer "management" of the monument to you. Just let me know. Please use the edit tab on the memorial to do so. That way, I can make sure that I am transferring the correct monument. If you notice any errors, please let me know via the edit tab and I will make the corrections. Thanks. Please be patient with me about the edits that are sent automatically. I do try to keep up with them. Sometimes I do forget to check.

I lived in Green Township, a Cincinnati suburb for many years. I walked many of the cemeteries in Hamilton County, Ohio and Campbell & Kenton Counties in Kentucky. I currently live in Whitefish, Montana.
I walk cemeteries in Flathead County now.

Thanks! I've been taking photos for Find A Grave and just noticed the discrepancy.

Burial for Susan
Husband's uncles remember going to funeral -- she doesn't have a marker, but the caretaker confirmed a month ago -- she is next to her sister Anna or Angeline I forget.
They also plan to get her a marker now that it is confirmed.

RE: George Kaul
Thank you for your responses. We stumbled on all this purely by accident my MIL thought she was a Howard. Carla at Hamilton Co. Found the MCert with Susan Ried and Charles Kaul and I dismissed and went back and did some sleuthing and sure enough.
So, I find Emilia/Amelia born in 1892. And, Charles married Susan in 1898. Wonder why so late in baptizing the little girl?
I am new sort of to FindAGrave -- and right now would rather not, but please feel free to add the info -- I am not the world's most computer intuitive person -- don't want to screw something in progress up.
Susie Reed, who is buried in St Mary's in Alexandria with her family - married Charles Grosser in Indiana -- MC says Susan Kaul. I knew the second spouse name and that's how I determined their name was Kaul -- not Howard.
Bigamist -- had the same thought -- but Amelia has in 1910 or 1900 census divorced -- just need to verify.
As for -- after the school -- George child told his kids was he lied to enlist in the war -- I don't know if that's true?? And, sometime he changed his name.
Thank you for all this -- anything you learn and share is much appreciated. BTW -- that Ohio Hamilton website is one of the worst I've encountered. ???? But, as I said, I am not a guru of computers.

last one promise
looks like Amelia was the first wife and they divorced. She had a daughter Amelia born in 1891. That's a surprise too!

I am thinking he had two wives. He was in Clifton when he died. Good reason for the actual brother of little Charles George to change his name. I wish I were in Ohio to research from there. All the other dates match -- and the 1910 census shows him with wife Susan and the older boy. 1900 shows him with Susan and his Dad. More research to do. ???????

Kaul again
Hi, I have a different spouse for Charles Kaul. According to St. Johns United C of C in Newport, he married Susie Ried 11 May 1898 witnesses Francis Bauer and Anna Ried. Shows Charles F. died of heart failure in Ohio if I remember and the baby Karl George died of infantile convulsions.

Charles Kaul and son
Hi Carol, there is an additional son for Charles. He would be George Frederick Kaul. Born 27 Apr 1901 in Newport. Died 28 Jan 1967. We don't know what happened, but after his little brother died and then his Dad -- George falls off the grid until 1930. He told his kids he lied to get in WWI and then??? He had no papers said there was a fire. He assumed the name of Howard, George F. His children, one my mother n law had no idea. His Mom remarried and she eventually found him. I suspect she had such grief and a 10 year old boy -- what was she to do - so she had him go stay with relatives or in an orphanage. No one knows. He is buried in St. Stephan's in Newport -- wife Frances Hauser Howard. Thank you for adding the Kauls -- we wouldn't have known where to look. His descendants plan a visit soon and a marker. All my best,

RE: Frank Borgerding
The info that I shared was based on that particular Frank's really impressive grave marker. Unfortunately I have nothing further on the details of the family. If I come across anything helpful I'll send it your way. I have additional pictures of the grave marker. Would you like me to add them even though you already have one for their memorials?

Boehme Family
Carol,I don't think you have them all. There are many, but I do want to thank you for putting me in another direction in finding more info about my grandparents & g grandparents. I was able to look up the churches & found baptizims, marriages, & other detailed info I didn't have. Since I live in Cincinnati, Oh & Evergreen is across the Ohio river from me, I have visited there a few times. It takes many of us to follow & put together our family stories.
you may e mail me at
