Shera LaPoint
Francois Everaste Dartez

My name is Shera Broussard LaPoint. My maternal grandmother was Anna Mae Dartez. Francois Everiste Dartez. You submitted the information on findagrave. There is a story attatched from an Opelousas and Lafayette newspaper regarding his murder. He was killed by his brother. Adrian Dartez. I remember my grandmother telling me the story. She told me their argument was over a cow. I was just wondering where you found this information? I was truly amazed when I read this. Thank you for solving a puzzle for me! My email is

I am researching the above and would like to know if you found this name on a grave or was it transcribed from a book or family knowledge. I would like to get a picture.
Thanks for posting and look forward to hearing from you.

Dr John Collin Morriss #88006146
I saw your flower/note left on this memorial noting who his wife was. Do you know if he was married any other times? I am briefly working on the Vogelsang family buried out at Burton as an extension of the Brey and Ernst clans out of Prairie Lea, and note that Norma Vogelsang Morriss is listed as "Mrs. J.C. Morriss" on her death certificate. Her marriage record gives the same name for the spouse, no indication as to what the JC stands for, and I was wondering if you know whether or not it was John Collin Morriss that she was married to.

RE: Lauria Broussard
I'm doing it now. Let me know if I did it right. Also, do you want me to transfer management of the other one to you?

Charles Jaeger 139743550
Hi Sebastian,
I got an email that you are sponsoring Charles Jaeger and pointing out that this is a duplicate. I am not sure how it works when a memorial is sponsored but normally if this happens, I upload photos to the original post and delete the duplicate. Thankfully, it doesn't happen often. Now, when I delete this memorial, will it screw you after you sponsored it? I hope not. Also, if you ever come across a memorial that I created, you just need to let me know and I will happily transfer it to you. It would make linking people and editing much easier and fast for you.
