Please use Suggest a correction, I dont get on here like I used too and when I do I can fix them.
People have been submitted by spreadsheets over the years. Attempts have been made to eliminate living people and duplicates. If you believe a living person is included, you should submit proof to me via findagrave correction. Just because there is no date on a headstone does not mean someone is alive.
Google and other searches do not prove someone is alive, I can google many people in my tree that google would show to be well over 100 years old that I know in fact are dead.
Yes, I know there is an edit button no kidding. I will get to it as I can. Fortunately, I do not live on this site.
While I have thousands of memorials at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Rochester. They are all added based on the actual records in the office. In many cases these records only listed people as Mr. Ms, Miss. exc... I choose to leave these records as they are unless someone has added a headstone and the dates match the cemetery index I have in my posession.
Unfortunately I used to change them as unknown but I have learned over time people assume they are there family when in fact they are not and the dates do not match at all per the records of the cemetery.
Because of this reason it takes me some time to vent the record changes at this particular cemetery because I look each and every record up as time allows to ensure the accuracy.
Find A Grave Memorial# 153068669 and Find A Grave Memorial# 153068719 Daryl- I recently created a memorial for Abram Vander Lyke (161954839) and Cheryl Ayres created one for his wife, Lena (155394675). I was going to delete the one I created for Abram - after researching him, going to add his children, and then stumbling upon your memorial (or, as you have him, Abraham) - but decided to leave it and reference your memorial on mine. This way, people may be able to find it more easily since they are more likely to look for him under Vander Lyke (name on headstone) as opposed to Van der Lijcke. Just wanted to let you know.
re: Phebe Manchester Orr Hello- received your request to correct the spouse son relationship with Christopher. Please note I can not correct from my memorial- it needs to be corrected by the person that did Christopher's - IO have sent a message thank you.
George Grab and Elizabeth Grab I notice that you posted both George and Elizabeth the same day.. are their graves together, or close? My husbands 3rd Great grandparents are Johann George and Maria Elizabeth Grab from Baden, Germany... they were born in 1799 and 1805... seems to fit the deaths of these two.. Have been unable to find either in the 1870 Census..Thanks for any help
Esther Amelia Warren Eaton In the process of proving my lineage to Richard Warren of the Mayflower, I obtained a map for Esther Eaton and her father, Benjamin's, burial plot 16 in Mount Hope Cemetery. Esther was born 31 Mar 1816 to Benjamin and Esther Warren. She is buried in the same plot as Benjamin, and also an infant child. The death record at Mt. Hope shows that she died of consumption on 18 May 1862.
RE: William Sutherland #41391023 Hello, I was wondering if you could please transfer the memorial #41391023 for William Sutherland to me. He is my Great Great Grandfather, and I would like to add a biography for him. I obtained some very interesting details about his life and his passing. Thank you, Sandy Sutherland
#109518152 I am a part of a small group researching local pioneer cemeteries for unmarked graves of USA veterans. During this endeavor we need to find a LIVING next of kin. I am reaching out to all Find A Grave people that have established or maintain a memorial for anyone within the HARRY NEWMAN BOWLER line. I would very much appreciate seeing if you have information that will help us secure a military marker for Harry. There is no cost involved to you. Please e mail me at email@example.com
