With your help, I believe we have it figured out. Edward was the son of Samuella "Ella" Golladay before she married Ansil Smith. He was also the grandson of Frederick & Mary Golladay. Thank you for transferring the management of Ansil & Ella Smith into my care. I have already updated their memorials. Using F/G, one can trace Ella's ancestry back prior to the Revolutionary War.
BTW, Jo Bohony is a very inactive researcher. I managed to get Findagrave.com to transfer the management of all Golladays and Gollidays in her possession to me.
