I have been pursuing genealogy for about fifty years researching numerous lines in Texas and all other southern states. My Smith family was located in Stephen F. Austin's 2nd colony and 4th colony. My Dyches/Dykes/Dikes line was located in Zavalla's colony.
If you find any mistakes, please advise and I will correct ASAP.
I've added certain memorials that I accidently took pictures of that are not my family or connection. If you find one, I would be more than happy to transfer them to you. Let me know. If I have added directs for you, I would be happy to transfer them no matter what generation if they are not directs for me.
The obits that I have been sending out are gems found in the old newspapers. Hope they add some background. Any picture that I have added to any memorial, you are welcome to copy.

Hi! Added the following to her memorial:P
DATE OF DEATH: Gravestone says, "Feb 8 1901." However, there is Census data that says Temperance Whitmire was living with son, Gladstone Whitfield Whitmire, on 4 Jan 1920 Federal Census, Dunn's Rock Twp., Transylvania County, NC, p. 264, #21/21. If that census is correct, then she must have died sometime between 1920 and 1930 (she was not on the 1930 census). INFORMATION PROVIDED BY: Find A Grave Contributor, Patty McGinty (#47180635).
