Any memorial page I have created I have a picture of the headstone. |
If you want a photo officially request one, don't bury your request in a spouse or another family members photo request.
Too many volunteers are now asking for other volunteers to do their research, please try and do your own on your time.
I take responsibility ONLY for the information obtained from the headstone unless otherwise specified by me. There are very few exceptions.
Due to the changes and procedures for adding addition information it is very time consuming to include the source. Find A Grave DOES NOT provide a way to show where the information comes from.
In light of these changes and the automated edit system, which makes it almost impossible to deny acceptance of changes and addition, I have been transferring all memorial pages to those wishing to make edits. This too has become too time consuming.
Therefore, in order to include the changes whether the information is CORRECT OR NOT I feel I am being forced to accept all edits. I hate this part because I have had quite a few people send edits only to resend two or three times in order to make corrections.
If you find errors send corrections but do not, I repeat DO NOT ask me about the information posted or hold me responsible for the additions. This goes against all genealogical best practices, but the only other solution would be to take down all the memorials and pictures I have posted.
If you find an error, double listing or double picture please let me know so I can correct the problem.
I have in the past used a picture of the cemetery gate/sign with "Office couldn't locate a burial for this person" imprinted on it. If you get this posting and do find a picture of you persons tombstone, let me know and I will remove it.
SHOULD YOU WISH TO MANAGE A MEMORIAL PAGE, PLEASE JUST ASK FOR A TRANSFER.

Karen, I'm sorry I didn't put your photo credit on your crossed over photo from Samuel to Nettie. I just got a new computer today and was updating the completed photo requests and must have forgotten to put in your credit and dating for the photo, when I added in your photo to Nettie's memorial. I thank you for bringing it to my attention and I will be more careful going forward. I am also sorry you feel ill will about my statements on my "Bio". But truth I truth and you are the first out of many who have commented about my "bio" to complain about it. I do volunteer taking photographs at a very large cemetery in California. Well over 750,000 burials on 250 plus acres of land, with all information in book form, no computers of any kind, with only 25,000 photos taken so far and I'm working on my first block entry with photos of over 1,000. I hope your day and holidays are good and the weather up in Washington clears up soon. Russell

Many thanks for the headstone photo for both Samuel PATTERSON & his bride Nettie Emma (CASE) PATTERSON and posting to his memorial. With this, I was able to locate and create a memorial for Nettie. Russell

Hi, Thanks for the upload picture. I see the names don't match.? wonder why that is? Thank you very much.
Thanks for your speedy acknowledgment of my request.
I used to travel from Salt Lake City, Utah to Clifton, Idaho about once a year, before I found
Grave Finders. I'm glad you were able to help.

Her husband died last week. I wonder if those flowers were for him. His service was Sat.

Thanks for looking into this for me. I take it there wasn't a stone to take a pic of currently. I find these challenging to locate and how to respond when a photo is requested. You did just fine. K
Thanks for your great photo!
