Bio and Links
Bio Photo For thirty plus years I have been involved in genealogy. When my mother died, she left some notes about a few ancestors she had uncovered and hoped I would continue her research. That was the hook-in-the-jaw that changed my life. I only regret that I have missed out on so many years that I could have used. Alas, all those family stories that went in one ear and out the other, and all those family members who took so much information to the grave with them.

I am, however, thankful for the tools that are now available and for FindAGrave, a platform that I have spent many hours gaining from and contributing to.

If I have created a memorial for a member your family, who isn't related to me, and YOU CAN ADD INFORMATION TO THEIR BIO (not just family links), I will be glad to transfer it to you. However, many have received a transfer/transfers & have never added anything. This isn't fair to kin who may come along later who can do so.

An exception to the above are my Bell, Dodson, & Love ancestors and kin, most of whom have numerous descendants. Much of the information contained in their memorials is the result of many years of tedious research, and as new information comes to light, I would like to be able to make those changes. For these memorials please follow FindAGrave guidelines for transfers.
----------

I will no longer respond to transfer or up-date requests that are sent to me on the Message Board. Requests sent this way many times have errors and often slow things down.

Instructions for ALL REQUESTS for corrections, additional information, or transfers:

1. Go to the memorial page, which has an "Edit" tab located on the upper right side of the memorial.
2. Click on the "Edit" tab, then click on the Suggest a correction or provide additional information link, which opens a message page.
3. Type in your message.

Making a request this way insures that no mistakes are made, because it takes me to the exact memorial.
-----

Please do not post actual death certificates on my memorials. Instead, send the information shown on the certificate, & I will add it to the memorial.

Thanks for your understanding.

Virginia is there any way possible you might be able to secure and post a tombstone shot for WILLIAM MCGINNIS GILDERSLEEVE? If his wife is buried there that would be helpful also to have a photo of her tombstone. Thank you so much!

Virginia,

It was a pleasure, My wife and I happened to be there with my Father in Law for my Mother in Law and the Wreath Laying Ceremony and my Father in law struck up a conversation with a gentleman who was there for his father, while we were talking the subject came up about Find a Grave and he asked me to put one in for his father, I logged in and found 3 requests so... You know how it works, we help each other. It's how God would want it.

RE:Margaret A. McPheron Hankins
Hi Virginia- Thank you for the help re: James Marion. But, then, I found things in Margaret's bio with which I don't agree. Such as her parentage and siblings. I have put together a page of data (I won't call them facts, since we never know) from the records I have seen. The easiest way to send this to you would be as an attachment to an email. Or, if you prefer, I can try to fit it into the format I am using now.

Thanks, again, Russ

Epsey Richards
I have deleted my memorial to Epsey (love that name!) and have added a photo to your memorial. You have a wonderful biography of him on your memorial.

Gemmell Family
The Gemmell Family was killed in Maryland when the plan crashed into their house.

We have created memorials for the mother & two children.

The mother was found shielding the two children from the fire & smoke.

Please help us pass the word to have other Find A Grave member show their support & stop by the memorials.

Thank you
Sincerely

You're welcome. I may be sending you a few more. Someone has given me a scrapbook and I've going through it page by page. I'm leaving out the survivors' names; seems like that's what the rules say to do.
