Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing family history research since about 1971. Although I have worked on all my lines, I have especially focused on the extended Harlan family who were members of the Harlan Party that traveled to California by wagon in 1846. My "family" database is available for free through the World Connect Project at www.rootsweb.com.

I believe that Find-A-Grave is a wonderful collaborative tool to share and improve family history information. Therefore, I am happy to consider requests for the transfer of memorials I have added.

Re. Memorial No.76523549
I found on the Nevada Marriage Index 1951-2005 a Marian E. Garbrecht (Vester) m. James E Dixon 10 Feb 1961. California Divorce Index 1966-1984 shows that Jack E. Gibson divorced Marian E. Vester on Sep 1976.
This is a reply to your note on the Jack E Gibson memorial.

cemetery cross-reference - Big Valley
I don't know how Find a Grave identifies cemeteries that have used more than one name. Big Valley Cemetery was also known as Valley Bethel Cemetery, and some of the graves were recorded under that name in printed materials. Currently there are two records in this database for that cemetery, based on publications.

Can you help create a cross-reference for Valley Bethel to Big Valley, or pass this on to someone who can? Thank you.

Gormans
Steve,
Your name was given to me by B. Pierson as looking for Gormans. My husband is a Gorman and Ive done lots of research on his line.
My first question has to be, are your Gormans Irish or German? My line came from County Limerick, Ireland about 1840s-1850s. The line was John and Catherine Bridgeman and they came to America with several sons. They are typical Irish Catholic names, James, John, Patrick. William.
They were in New York with some in Pensylvania and finally Missouri. Some eventually went to Colorado.
Im not aware of any in other places but its probable. If any of this sounds familar or you are interested, let me know.

Gormans
I noticed you have a request for several Gormans at Montecito and it's always very helpful when the people that are requesting has the location, in your case you have the section and plots, but no specific garden in the cemetery, Montecito is a pretty big cemetery, and would take some time going to each garden with your section location. Would you by chance have the name of the garden they are located, if you do I'll see what I can do to get them for you, Bobby
