I've been working on genealogy for many years. My main family names to research are Boyer and Geer from western Pennsylvania, but I love the research and will work on any name. I live in southwestern Washington (state), so I depend on others to help with headstone photos I need, and I visit cemeteries here for other people. Thanks!

If you would like to manage a memorial I have entered, please let me know. As long as it's not my family, I'll be glad to transfer.

Steiners in Venango County
Dear Doris,
Thank you so much for adding the photos and memorials to my Steiner ancestors in Venango County. I linked some of them together yesterday. Especially thanks for photos of my grandfather & grandmother Steiner's headstones, George E. and Theresa Kremp Steiner in the Franklin Cemetery. I was so lucky you were there and made them. I had a big break last week and found out about the names of George's parents, brother, and sisters. Had not had any of his families names before. Found they lived in Clarion County, PA. Some of his siblings are on Find A Grave and there is even a Steiner Cemetery in Clarion CT. where some are buried. His mother and father are not on Find A Grave, but lived & died in Clarion County. Father, Francis Xavier, Frank Steiner, b. 1788 in Germany...d. 7 April 1876 in Clarion, and mother, Magdalena Engel Steiner b. 1789, France, and I don't have her death record. They are on the 1860 Census, Township Washington, Clarion County, under the surname Stoner...Frank Stoner, age 73, Magdaline Stoner, age 70, along with a son Stephen Stoner & family above their names, and a son Henry living with them. I sent in corrections to for the surname in the census record. Steiner does mean stone cutter, but they did not change their surname. No wonder if never found them after looking and looking.
Thanks again Doris for your good work on Find A Grave and ancestry and for helping me so.
My very best to you,
Alice Steiner Felgner

Hi Doris,
Thanks for the photo of Mary's headstone. Looks like you're getting a little snow.

Thank you so much for the photo of his grave stone. I appreciate your time and efforts. Did you see the stone for his wife, Mable? I had requested a photo of her grave too. Susan
