RE: Paluda
I'm actually in Minneapolis, but have never had a need to do any family research here. Paluda is the first family member with Minnesota ties. All of my research time has been spent in South Dakota and Iowa. :)

RE: Paluda
I'm not aware of that one. My email is I only had the google translated Norwegian family summary.

I also have a request in with the Mpls public library to search for Paluda's obituary.

RE: Paluda
I haven't figured out why her name is Larson instead of Lillehei. Everything of hers that I own, she wrote her name as Larson and never Lillehei. A census record from 1910 shows Clarence and Elmer using Larson, too. I only yesterday figured out that James C Larson and Jens Kristian Lillehei were the same person after finding an article in Norwegian that listed his parents' names. When I saw his father was Lars, it then occurred to me that I should research James C. Larson some more and sure enough, he listed his parents on his marriage record as Lars Ingebretson and Ingeborg Olson, who are Lilleheis.

By article, do you mean the Norwegian one?
That's the only one I've found. Do share if there's another one that my google search has been missing!

The cemetery where her son Clarence is buried has all of their plots listed on their website and she's not listed there. (Haven't been able to find her son Elmer yet, though he lived in Minneapolis.) Some of the other Lilleheis are buried at Crystal Lake Cemetery and I have a request in with them to check their records. I spoke with the guy at Maplewood Cemetery in Luverne and he's going to check for me next time he's there. I haven't been able to find Jens' parents Lars and Ingeborg either, though I read that they're buried near Luverne, MN.

Who would've thought it'd be so hard to find someone with such a unique name?

RE: Paluda Larson
That is the correct Paluda Larson. She died in Minneapolis in 1960, but I'm thinking she may be buried at Luverne since the Minneapolis cemetery records are fairly complete on here or on their own websites. Her husband went by Jens Kristian Lillehei with Norwegians, but adopted James C. Larson on most formal documents. (His family all continued to go by Lillehei and most of them seem to be buried in Minneapolis.) He died in 1898. Her sons are Clarence and Elmer Lillehei.

Hi Linda. I noticed you uploaded Lillehei obituaries, so I'm assuming you're related to the Lilleheis. Do you have any idea where Jens Kristian's wife is buried? Paluda Lillehei Larson is my great grandma's sister and I've been trying to track her down for some time. Thanks!
