Bio and Links
Bio Photo My childhood home was built by my 3rd great grandfather. Over the years I have seen pictures and heard stories about him and several other family members. Now I am trying to learn more about them, the different areas they came from, and where their final resting places are. I want to be able to pass as much info as I can on to my children. I sure appreciate the help I have received from so many wonderful people on Find A Grave.

Hello,

I created my memorial for Sarah, after doing a lot of research into the cemeteries in the area. I searched the whole cemetery where the other memorial is listed, there is no current stone. And there was nothing listed from the 2 other previous transcripts or from any documents from the cemetery. I then Searched through all cemeteries and there transcripts from the 70's and the 80's and found an s. Alsup buried in anitoch cemetery. It was the only name with alsup with s for the first inital I could find. I did inform the other person that the memorial is incorrect due to the fact there is nothin showing her burrows there but never got a response back. I hope that helps answer your question.

Karrie: That would be GREAT! I am very passionate about genealogy and would love to share! Let me start by inviting you to my ancestry.com page....I just need your e-mail address to make you a guest! You can send it here, or to my regular e-mail at gary.eldridge56 (at) yahoo.com. I also want to start by asking you about your lineage back to Levi...(are you talking about Levi 1806-1877...there are quite a few as you may know, all related!). Here is my line: Levi, John C. (1833-1910), William John Preston (1864-1947), Colonel (1908-1992), Kenneth (1931- )and me Gary (1956 - ). I am a longhunter re-enactor and a huge Civil War buff (both Levi and three of his sons were soldiers in the Civil War). Levi's grandfather and/or uncle is mentioned in some documents as a longhunter.
