Bio and Links
Bio Photo I love visiting the graves of famous people and taking photos! It is a real challenge to find some of them. And I am very grateful to Find-a-Grave for letting everyone, including myself post family and friends on here as well. It is a wonderful way to pay tribute and especially nice way to visit the graves of loved ones that you can't go to in person. Because of Find-a Grave a lot of us have been able to view our ancestors graves which we would have otherwise not ever got to see!
And I love to (when time) to go search out graves for other's family members that are far away and snap a photo for them! Wish I had time to do that more often! It is really a challenge to walk some of these graveyards in search of that one grave and no idea where it could be! Great fun and great exercise as well!

Dear Ms Murdock, My name is Dr. S. E. Murdoch and I descend from the same ancestor as your Royce Murdock. Since retiring I have taking on the project of identifying all the deceased descendants of the first Murdock/h of our lineage in the USA (Hamilton 1768 Charleston, SC).
I have some "spotty" info that I hope you can clarify.
1) Royce had a sister, Doris, who married McClellan, died 2007 Cleveland, Ohio. Is this accurate and do you possess burial location?
2) I have limited info about 3 of his aunts.
(a)Martha lived 1930-unmarried Haralson Co.,
(b)Hattie-bornJun1893, living 1910, age 14, Paulding Co., Ga.
(c)Odesser-born nov1896, living 1910 age 10, Paulding Co.

To clarify I only do this for family knowledge and will gladly and freely share any info I have. I am not interested in gaining info on anyone living and thus do not pursue anyone born after 1915 unless I have specific knowledge they are deceased. I enter my data in findagrave which enables family members to trace their linage back to Hamilton and a little beyond.
I truly hope you will assist in the endeavor.

RE: Reply to your message
Hello Mona,
If you will send me your email address I will forward all the info you request. Your ancestor Coleman C. Justice as I stated was in the Indian Creek Massacre...this was reported in at least 2 known newspapers and I would like to send them as well as his military file to you for your records Mona....Private Justice was listed as a victim....however he did survive. I will explain more later. I do want to tell you our family decided to only name the actual victims of the Massacre and not the survivors as we had originally planned. (Cost was the factor.) However we would love to present you with Private Justice's memorial flag during the ceremony even though his name is not listed on the monument...just those of his fallen comrades who were murdered that day.
Looking forward to hearing back...please email me directly so I can forward these newspaper articles to you. Mona we are also doing a brief profile on Private Justice for the keepsake program booklet we will be giving to the families at the dedication ceremony. I would like your input on his profile please...I will also forward the draft we have thus far for his profile.
So glad you got my message...looking forward to hearing back Mona.
Best Regards,
Grace K. Bowen

Coleman C. Justice...
Hello Mona, 9/03/13
My name is Grace Bowen of Atlanta, GA...I am researching Coleman C. Justice whose grave you have pictured. Mr. Justice was a Private during the Civil War and was captured and wounded/shot during the Indian Crk Massacre while serving with the 64th NC Regmt. This event happened on my familys' farm in Flag Pond, TN and we are erecting a large monument to honor Private Justice and his fallen comrades next May 2014. We are looking for a relative of Private Justice to be present during the dedication ceremony to receive his folded military flag that will be presented by the East TN Civil War Reenactors' 21 gun solute ceremony that day. Are you a relative and can you attend next year's ceremony? Please let me know at
Best Regards,
Grace K. Bowen

John Ciscero Maney
Hi Mona, saw your memorial 26965232 and was wondering if you had any info on the burial site for John Ciscero. There is a family tree that states burial in Oklahoma, Crittenden Cemetery, but no listing there. Info would be appreciated.David
